Lynn Woods Stone Tower

Stone Tower is set on the top of Burrill Hill in Lynn Woods, the highest point in Lynn. It was constructed in 1936 for fire observation and originally was built with a wooden roof structure to provide shelter for crews.

Goldfish Pond

The first European arrivals to Lynn chose the beautiful Goldfish Pond area as their settlement in Lynn in 1629. The pond was then described as a muddy swamp and was used as a watering hole for cattle and pigs. In the 1840’s, it was stated that young boys in the Lewis Street area had visited a summer estate in Swampscott where the owner had left behind goldfish.

Rising to a height of 170 feet, High Rock Tower is less than three quarters of a mile from the ocean and commands unobstructed views of Boston, Nahant, and Swampscott.
