Newburyport Lighthouse – Lighthouse Preservation Society

61 & 1/2 Water Street | Newburyport, MA 01950

The Lighthouse Preservation Society is the nonprofit organization that has made lighthouse preservation a national issue with Congressional hearings, conferences, the sponsorship of National Lighthouse Day and its celebrations, the nomination of 30 U.S. lighthouse stamps, and the raising of nearly $5 million for over 160 lighthouse projects. This prestigious group is also the recipient of a Presidential Achievement Award from the federal government for its effort to preserve our lighthouse heritage. In recent years, as a fundraiser, The Lighthouse Preservation Society has offerred what Boston’s Phantom Gourmet has repeatedly called the region’s “most romantic and exclusive dining” at the Newburyport Lighthouse. Yankee Magazine also named it among the “Top 35 Things To Do” in New England. It is a one-of-a-kind romantic dining experience unlike any in the world, with food catered to the top of the lighthouse by your choice of six of Newburyport’s best restaurants.
