November Brings More Fall Fun and Holiday Happenings!

As we transition into November, the North of Boston region is brimming with fall fun, holiday festivities, and delicious delights! Whether you’re exploring charming cultural districts, indulging in local flavors, live entertainment, or the enchantment of the season, there’s plenty to experience this month.
Nov. 1 & 2: Crane Estate Art Show Soiree and Sale, Ipswich
Come to the 21st annual Crane Estate Art Show and Sale: Joy to see amazing paintings, photography, fiber art, and sculpture! During the Art Show you’ll see over 200 pieces of original artwork, student works, a funky small works gallery, unusual gifts at the Castle Hill gift shop, and that perfect find. Proceeds benefit The Trustees and the artists. Want to meet the artists and join the art show celebration? Come to the Crane Estate Art Show Soiree on Friday evening, November 1st from 7 to 10 pm.
Nov. 2: Harry Potter Party, Wenham Museum
Put on your wizard cap and get ready for a magical event with potions, spells, and more! The wizarding fun of Hogwarts returns to Wenham Museum this fall. This celebration of magic and wonder includes an alchemy magic show with a genuine wizard, a potions lab, crafting, photo ops, a limited-time display of LEGO™ Hogwarts Express buildings, and more!
Nov. 2: The Eagles Experience, Larcom Theatre, Beverly
The Eagles Experience aims to be the most authentic tribute show to the Eagles available today. With a one-to-one lineup that reflects the Eagles during their heyday in the late 1970s, the members of the Eagles Experience each emulate their respective “Eagle,” playing the correct instrument and singing the songs as sung by their protege. Every member of the Eagles Experience is dedicated to presenting their part as accurately as possible and will provide you with an ultimate “Eagles Experience” you will not soon forget.
Nov. 9: Appleton Farms Harvest Market, Hamilton & Ipswich
Join us in a celebration of the Harvest season at our annual Harvest Market, featuring a bounty of Appleton organic produce accompanied by other local edibles & gifts from area artisans, crafters, and producers of fine foods. The Appleton culinary team will have sweet & savory treats for purchase to keep you fueled while you shop!
Nov. 9 & 10: Amesbury Open Studios
For 28 years, the Amesbury Cultural Council has organized a city-wide tour of working artists’ studios each November. Artists, makers, and businesses throughout Amesbury and beyond open their doors to the public for two days of creativity, shopping, food, and fun for all ages.
Nov. 10: Ben Folds, The Cabot, Beverly
Join Ben Folds on his Paper Airplane Request Tour with special guest Lindsey Kraft. The Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter-composer has created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records.
Nov. 14-Dec. 29: Deck the Halls Holiday Celebration, Hammond Castle Museum
Join Hammond Castle for their sixth annual “Deck The Halls” holiday celebration! Nov. 14–17: Beetlejuice Jr., Firehouse Center for the Arts
The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life.
Nov. 16: Grammy-nominated vocalist and composer, Somi, Shalin Liu, Rockport
Experience the captivating artistry of Grammy-nominated vocalist and composer Somi, hailed by The New York Times for her “African grooves, supple jazz singing and compassionate social consciousness.” Known for her powerful storytelling and deeply emotive live performances, Somi blends seriousness and seduction with grace.
Nov. 23–Dec. 8: SeaFestival of Trees, Blue Ocean Event Center, Salisbury Beach
Experience the joy and excitement of the Seacoast’s most popular holiday tradition with glittering trees, seaside indoor ice skating, Santa’s workshop, toy testing station, and more at the 12th annual SeaFestival of Trees! This beloved event begins November 23 and runs through December 8 at Blue Ocean Event Center on Salisbury Beach. Be sure to ride the Salisbury Beach carousel while you’re there!
Nov. 23: Holiday Artisan Market, Andover Old Town Hall
Looking for the perfect holiday gift for someone special or just for you? Join the town of Andover for a Holiday Artisan Market on Saturday, November 23rd from 10 am to 4 pm.
Nov. 23: Downtown Lynn Open Studios, Lynn Museum and Lynn Arts Center
View artist studio spaces, learn more about the exciting classes and workshops that their building community offers, and purchase locally made artwork and handmade goods at the Galleries at LynnArts artist fair and from artists at the Studios. The Lynn Community Health Center will be providing this year’s Open Studios trolley, which features live music and transports folks between Downtown Lynn and Western Ave (Saturday only).
Nov. 29: Santa’s Arrival and Holiday Tree Lighting, Salem
Join Salem Main Streets and the City of Salem as they celebrate two of their most beloved annual traditions – Santa’s Arrival and the lighting of Salem’s Holiday Tree – all in one evening! Santa Claus typically arrives to the top of the Hawthorne Hotel with assistance from the Salem Fire Department. Santa’s arrival will be followed by a procession down the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall to Lappin Park for the Holiday Tree Lighting. Bring the whole family out for carols, festivities, and fun!
Nov. 29–January 4, 2025: Winterlights at Stevens-Coolidge House & Gardens, North Andover
Winterlights is back! Join The Trustees for a magical outdoor experience at Stevens-Coolidge House & Gardens, and see the gardens aglow with your favorite enchanting light displays, as well as, some fun and exciting additions to this years display. A fun event for the whole family to ring in the winter season! Winterlights runs Wednesday through Sunday each week from the Friday after Thanksgiving through January 4. Closed on December 25, but open on December 23rd, 26th, and 31st, as well as January 1st!
Nov. 29: Tree Jubilee, Marini Farm, Ipswich
Tour the gallery of more than 100 uniquely decorated trees and wreaths donated by local organizations, families, and businesses then choose the ones you want to win at Marini Farm in Ipswich. Event takes place Nov. 29, 30 and December 1, 6, 7, 8.
Nov. 29 & 30: Dirty Deeds – The AC/DC Experience, Blue Ocean Music Hall, Salisbury
Dirty Deeds: The AC/DC Experience out of Boston, MA, has been touring the US for over 20 years bringing forth their high energy and wildly entertaining tribute to one of the world’s best rock bands, AC/DC! Dirty Deeds’ performance revisits all of the timeless AC/DC hits along with a theatrical ride through rock n’ roll history bringing you back to the early music that was at the roots of AC/DC’s rise to stardom.
Nov. 30–January 1, 2025: Winter Lights on Cape Ann
Celebrate the spirit of the season on Cape Ann! Pack up the car and come enjoy the 5th Annual Winter Lights on Cape Ann. Local businesses throughout Gloucester, Essex, Ipswich, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Rockport are getting into the festive spirit by decorating their storefronts with twinkling lights and creative window displays! Over 100 lighted locations will help bring joy to all those who visit from Small Business Saturday through New Years Day!
Nov. 30: Salem Arts Association Holiday Artists’ Market
Salem Arts Association is pleased to present our Annual Holiday Artists’ Market at Salem Old Town Hall during Thanksgiving weekend and Small Business Saturday. Join them for a festive market featuring 50 local artisans, live music, and a seasonal theme. Shop for treasures for yourself, friends, and family. Featuring a variety of local artisans and crafters offering original fine art, unique gifts, and hand-made housewares to delight yourself or gift to others.
Nov. 30: Annual Holiday Marketplace, Sea Level Oyster Bar, Salem
Join in the festive fun at the 7th annual Holiday Marketplace hosted at Finz Seafood and Grill & Sea Level Oyster Bar on November 30th from 11 am to 3pm. Browse the wares of 24 vendors featuring unique hand-crafted items. A perfect way to start your holiday shopping. Free admission.
Nov. 30: Story Time with Mrs. Claus, Cider Hill Farm
Mrs. Claus and a few elves are flying in to the farm to spread holiday cheer! Mrs. Claus will ring in the season reading a few short holiday stories leaving plenty of time to take photos with each child/family. Each session is 45 minutes and limited to 35 children. Write letters to Santa while you wait your turn to snap pics with Mrs. Claus! Sip cocoa and snack on kettle corn on your way out! Plus, take a family picture on the wooden sleigh in front of the farm store!
