Set in the historic East Boxford Village, the 23rd annual Jennifer Tinney Memorial 4th of July Road Race is a popular 5 mile competitive event. The course is USATF certified. Age group categories include 2-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 plus.
In addition to the 5 mile race we also offer the Boxford Mile which is also USA Track and Field certified.. Age groups include 2-8, 9-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-39 (Open), 40+.(Masters). Course starts on Elm Street, right on Main Street, right on Middleton and finishes back at the intersection of Elm.
New for 2015 is a 5K race! Starts and ends at the same location as the 5 mile event. Both will be run at the same time.
Non-runners are invited to participate in a 2.5 mile Walk For Fitness. Awards are presented to top age group finishers in the 5 Mile Run and Boxford Mile. The 5 Mile Run and Walk For Fitness start at 8:15 a.m. The Boxford Mile Race starts at approximately 8:00.
Proceeds are directed to the Jennifer Tinney Scholarship Fund at Masconomet High School.
The race is usually followed by a parade, barbecue, and fun activities for the family.
