And the spaces that the artists work in are often almost as spectacular as the art itself.” – tour visitor Cape Ann Artisansare part of a vibrant arts community, located along the scenic North Shore of Massachusetts. The Tour is self-guided of artists’ studios in Gloucester and Rockport. Both areas are also home to three important Massachusetts designated Cultural Districts – downtown Gloucester, downtown Rockport, and Rocky Neck. 2019 marks the 36th year for the Cape Ann Artisan Tour as the oldest “open studios” in the country. During the 30 year anniversary, the Artisans were celebrated with a special show at the Cape Ann Museum. The Fall Tour is included in American Craft Week.
