Esteemed wood engraver, Abigail Rorer, will be on hand all day demonstrating wood engraving, printing on our Vandercook, and talkingabout her work. The event is being held in conjunction with the Wood Engravers’ Network Triennial Exhibition, a juried, traveling exhibit featuring 64 engravings by 37 artists from New England and throughout the UnitedStates, Canada, Ireland and Belgium. Shown here is one of two wood engravings Ms. Rorer has in the WEN Exhibit. Titled “Stampede”, the pieceis a multi-block relief engraving with linocut and hand-coloring, 11.75” x 16.75”. Abigail is the proprietor of The Lone Oak Press in Petersham, MA where she creates beautiful wood engravings, works on paper, broadsides, silverpoints, and fine-press limited edition books. Her workis held by many libraries and museums and has been exhibited in the US andabroad.
