Tickets are now on sale for Marblehead Little Theatre’s upcoming production of Billy Elliot. Book and lyrics by Lee Hall with music by Elton John. The show is being produced by Susan Parker and Lori Lord. Directed by Steve Black with Assistant Direction by James Scoville. Musical Direction by Lianne Goodwin and Choreography by Lara Finn.
The plot revolves around motherless Billy, who trades boxing gloves for ballet shoes. The story of his personal struggle and fulfillment are balanced against a counter-story of family and community strife caused by the a miner’s strike in North Eastern England.
The production will run June 24th through July 3rd. Opening night, June 24th will include a meet the cast reception immediately following the show. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $15 for students for the matinee performances only.
