The Cantemus Chamber Chorus presents “Annelies,” a choral-orchestral work based on “Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl.” James Whitbourn’s work tells the harrowing story of the Frank family and 4 others hiding from the Nazis in a ’secret annex’ in Amsterdam, told in movements that range from harrowing and haunting, to humorous and lyrical. Renowned soprano Lynn Eustis, who sang the role of Anne in the work’s U.S. premiere in 2007, will be joined by guest artists on piano, violin, cello and clarinet.
