SALEM — Fall in love with The House of the Seven Gables all over again during Salem So Sweet’s Valentine’s Day-inspired weekend. On Saturday, Feb. 6, from 1 to 3 p.m., The Gables offers chocolate cookie decorating and a fun lesson on historic sweets with Ye Olde Pepper Candie Companie. Families are invited back for more tasty celebrations on Sunday, Feb. 7, from 1 to 3 p.m., when Salem Parks, Recreation and Community Services hosts a Valentine workshop at The Gables accompanied by lots of sweet treats. A local artist leads the workshop.
The Museum Store will be open all weekend. As part of Salem So Sweet, if you make a purchase at one participating business, you may then receive 10 percent off a full price purchase at The Gables’ Museum Store.
Saturday’s events are free of charge. The costs for Sunday’s events are $5 per person or $20 per family.
To reserve your spot for cookie decorating, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 978-744-0991, ext. 104.
Registration is suggested for the Valentine workshop and can be done by contacting Salem Parks, Recreation and Community Services at www.salemrec.com, or 978-744-0180.
