Join us for a night of themed food and entertainment aboard the Beauport Cruiselines every Wednesday starting July 11 through August 15! Kicking off the second event of our “Chefs at Sea” series is Chef Matt O’Neil of Ledger and The Blue Ox

Guests can expect the very best ingredients in this week’s tasting menu dishes prepared by Chef Matt O’Neil. The beautiful Cape Ann views and live entertainment are just an added bonus onboard this memorable Beauport Cruiselines 3-hour excursion.

Menus are pre-released 72 hours prior to our cruises using the freshest ingredients in New England and can be found on our website. While no substitutions for presented food are available we will make every effort to accommodate the dietary needs of our guests whenever possible. Your $80 ticket is all-inclusive providing food, entertainment and the price of your cruise and tour. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available on a cash-bar basis. Food is presented in a tasting format and seating is open. Attire is casual and the duration of the cruise is 3 hours. About the Chef:

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, chef Matt O’Neil learned alongside some of the best chefs in Massachusetts, including Anthony Caturano at Prezza and Copia, Barbara Lynch at No. 9 Park and The Butcher Shop, and Mark Chaput of the prestigious Vineyard Golf Club, where he began his career. In 2009, when the opportunity arose to open The Blue Ox, O’Neil jumped at the chance. A Swampscott native, he was eager to fill a culinary void on the North Shore. Since then, he and his team have garnered some of the most prestigious awards from the biggest names in Greater Boston media. His Sin Burger won Boston Magazine’s Battle of the Burger three years straight and brought him to Miami to compete in South Beach Food & Wine Festival. Formerly ESPN’s Cooking Coach, he’s even been featured on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay.

In late 2017 O’Neil opened Ledger in the historic Salem Savings Bank building, combining historic techniques with modern elegance.

The Restaurant: Ledger and The Blue Ox

Ledger is located in the former Salem Savings Bank building, circa 1818, in downtown Salem. This historically unique location houses a progressive New England concept, where traditional 19th-century dishes, cocktails, and techniques will be elevated with 21st-century resources.

Having garnered many prestigious awards since its opening, The Blue Ox , an upscale casual American restaurant, offers traditional dishes in a nontraditional way. The menu items are sourced from premium ingredients from the top purveyors in the area and a unique wine and cocktail list boast small production wines and local spirits all at a great value to guests.
