Please join us for an educational and fun time for cyclists and families who are interested in a scenic ride along the Danvers Rail Trail – free from motorized traffic.
This event is co-sponsored by the Danvers Rail Trail Advisory Committee and Western Cycle. There will be an optional and free bike and helmet check done by Western Cycle’s experienced mechanics. This safety-focused bike check will be complimented by a brief conversation with the Danvers Bike Police regarding biking safely in the Town of Danvers.
Western Cycle is also providing bikes to rent for this ride and throughout the season.
This is a great way to safely start the cycling season and to familiarize yourselves with this well-regarded town recreational resource as you ride the Rail Trail north through woods, parks, and ultimately the SwampWalk (5 miles roundtrip).
You can conveniently park at the Hobart Street Parking Lot (10 Hobart Street). Volunteers will provide guidance from there to the event’s starting-staging point at Western Cycle (89 Maple Street).
