Decorated Evergreen Scavenger Hunt
December 1 -31, 2015 Throughout Essex County Greenbelt 82 Eastern Avenue, (Route 133)
Decorated Evergreen Scavenger Hunt – Celebrate the spirit of the holiday season this December by getting outdoors with your family and friends and searching for decorated evergreen trees throughout the region!
Join Greenbelt – Essex County’s Land Trust and other families, schools, community groups and other enthusiastic members who will create eco-friendly ornaments and decorate evergreen trees on Greenbelt’s Reservations or other conservation lands in their communities. Find one tree in your neighborhood or find them all; each tree will have its own page of clues that you can use to find your way. Once you’ve discovered the decorated tree, take a photo to let Greenbelt know you made the trip. A Greenbelt goody bag is the prize for the first to find and photograph all the trees. Send your photos to ecga@ecga.org. Have fun!
Email Alice Tonry alice@ecga.org to get involved or for more information, including ornament ideas.
Clues from each group and their tree location will be posted in early December on the Greenbelt’s website.
