Yes, you can draw! In this foundation course, we will explore the basic elements of drawing including line, proportion, relationship, value, contrast, form, and perspective. We will work from still life, room interiors and a model. This class provides a highly supportive environment and encourages trusting one’s own process while developing a strong foundation for future work. We will focus on the process of making, and not necessarily the final product to build confidence and skills for the emerging artists. Our methods are based on foundation drawing techniques that have been taught at Montserrat for decades. Come learn a different way of seeing that will catapult your creative practice!
