Jeff Weaver received a comprehensive high school art educationfrom artist and teacher Elinor Marvin. In 1971, he enrolled at the BostonMuseum School. Shortly after, he found inspiration in Gloucester’s working waterfront and supported himself through commissions from boat portraits and murals. In the 1990’s, Weaver’s focus again turned to depicting Gloucester’s streets and waterfront. This exhibition includes works from theartist’s studio, private collections, and the Endicott College Walter J.Manninen Trust that take the viewer beyond the familiar, interpreting the ordinary in a way that allows us to see something new.
