Looking Out, Looking In – Exploring Self-Portraits Workshop

June 27, 2016 @ 9:00 am - July 1, 2016 @ 4:00 pm

Instructor: Dean Nimmer
Monday – Friday 9am – 4pm | June 27 – July 1

This class travels through a myriad of possibilities to explore a broad spectrum of visual interpretations of me, myself and I. Going far beyond the stereotype – “Does this picture look like me?” – we will visualize some of the mysteries of our complex nature.

We will use a variety of media including: drawing, painting, collage and mixed media to interpret our multi-faceted self. Some projects include, reflections without mirrors; seeing ourselves as creatures and beasts; seeing ourselves as pure colors and shapes and seeing ourselves belonging to another world. Guaranteed to be intriguing, fun and enriching!

Prerequisite: This course is open to all levels of experience and all that is required is your unrestrained creativity.
