The Marblehead Little Theatre announces tickets are now on sale for their upcoming production of From Silence. The production will run October 13-22 at Marblehead Little Theatre, 12 School Street.
From Silence is an original work by Marblehead playwright Anne Marilyn Lucas. The show is being produced by Judy Wayne and Wendy Webber and directed by John Fogle. Set design by John Fogle. Stage Management by Anna Stenberg and lighting by Greg Mancusi-Ungaro.
The play tells how Esther’s world is turned upside down when her daughter Deborah rushes home with the news that their New Jersey temple is on lock down and her granddaughter Elaina is trapped inside. Esther survived the Holocaust, but never talked about it, despite the pleas from her daughter and granddaughter – it was too painful to recount that part of her life. During the endless wait, Esther comes to regret her silence and realizes her duty to tell her story, but will it be too late for Elaina to hear it?
The cast includes Sharon Mason as Esther; Tina Barry as Young Esther; Gale Argentine as Adult Esther; Alex Alexander as Deborah Kline; Maeve Gaddipati as Young Deborah; Rebecca Green as Elaina Kline; Nora Falk as Erika Buchmann; Hannah Wagner as Maria Christina; Meghan Holtz as Lynda Fine/Marta Hermann and Stanis Ames as Janis Weinstein/Ravensbrück Hostess.
