Marblehead Little Theatre’s Totally New Theatre Festival 2016

May 28, 2016 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

MLT’S TNT – TOTALLY NEW THEATER FESTIVAL 2016 TO INCLUDE TEN-MINUTE PLAYS, ONE-MINUTE PLAYS, MONOLOGUES AND SONGS

MLT’s in-house new play development program, the TNT–Totally New Theater Collective, will hold its eighth annual festival on Saturday, May 28th at 8:00 pm at Marblehead Little Theatre. In addition to original ten-minute plays, this year’s festival will also offer one-minute plays, monologues and songs.

The 2015-16 collective includes Judith Black of Marblehead, Julia Bobkoff Sundlie of Marblehead, Richard Fay of Lynnfield, Anne Lucas of Marblehead, Michael McClung of Swampscott, and Mary Beth Smith of Rockport. Marblehead resident Shari D. Frost produces the year-round collective and annual festival, and is also a participating playwright.

Frost is excited that this year’s festival will experiment with different short forms of dramatic storytelling and noted that, “this year’s plays explore compelling contemporary issues, themes and characters by both new TNT playwrights and old. We’ve got dramas and comedies — something for everyone — and an incredible cast lined up. It’s really shaping up to be our best festival yet.”

Admission to the TNT Festival is free, but there will be a suggested donation at the door which opens at 7:30pm at MLT, 12 School Street, Marblehead.
