Experience the holiday season filled with song at Rocky Hill Meeting House.

The Connexion Shape-Note singers, headed by Dr. Thomas Malone, bring the meeting house alive with music from the period in which it was built. The Connexion singers are an all-volunteer blend of community voices young and old, united by a passion for the four-part hymns and anthems of that defined the sound of Early American music.

Rocky Hill Meeting House is a perfect place to experience this powerful sound. It was first taught in eighteenth-century Massachusetts by teacher-composers such as William Billings of Boston, John Stickney of Newburyport, and Jacob Kimball of Topsfield. Malone describes these old harmonies as “rugged and powerful, and they can lift you right out of your chair.”

Rocky Hill Meeting House is one of the best preserved examples of an original eighteenth-century meeting house interior. There are no restroom facilities on site. There is no climate control. We encourage visitors with any concerns to call ahead.
