Newburyport, MA – Newburyport Art Association presents our 25th Annual Regional Juried Show, an opportunity for artists across the region to connect and showcase their talent.
This year the NAA would like to welcome Emma Wilson from Portland Art Gallery as our Juror. Emma is the Director of the Portland Art Gallery in Portland, Maine. She joined the gallery in 2015 and has been working in the arts since 2005 after transitioning from a career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Before the Portland Art Gallery, Emma has worked at the Morris Museum in Augusta, Georgia, Portland Museum of Art in Portland, Maine, and as the Development Director at Wayfinder Schools in New Gloucester, Maine. Emma strives to bring a sense of community to the Portland Art Gallery, with clients, artists, and friends. She has three young adult children, lives in Portland, and is involved with a number of non-profit organizations. Emma received her MSW from Boston University and her BA from Alfred University. The application period closes at 11:59pm on April 29th. Accepted mediums include Acrylic, Digital Art, Drawing, Fine Crafts, Mixed Media, Oil, Pastel, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Watercolor. Videos, reproductions of original work, and Giclee prints cannot be accepted. Applicants will be notified of jurying decisions on May 6th, 2022, and the exhibition will be on view May 20, 2022 – June 12, 2022.
