This painting class will begin with the basics of painting from the use of various supports and grounds to the completed painting. We will discuss the materials of painting including brushes, paints and mediums. Students will practice color mixing, value scales and learn different ways of applying paint. We will begin with still life and then move on to working from photographs. The focus will be on how to create form, light and space. This class is open to beginners as well as more advanced painters.
