SALEM — Artists of all kinds have been inspired by The House of the Seven Gables, including, of course, Nathaniel Hawthorne. Those interested in joining the rarified ranks of Gable’s-inspired artists are invited to assemble on The Gables’ splendid Seaside Lawn for a paint-and-sip night with Wicked Art Bar. Participants will be donating to a worthy cause as they experience the beauty of The Gables at night and have a fun time with friends, old and new. Instruction is included.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 31, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Check in between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Instruction begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $45; $20 from each participant goes directly to the House of the Seven Gables Settlement Association.
Instruction and supplies are provided, including an apron, brushes, paints and a 16-by-20-inch canvas. Participants are encouraged to bring friends. Snacks and soft drinks are included with admission, and beer and sangria will be available for sale.
