Explore Mars with Newburyport filmmaker Mark J. Davis. He willtalk about why people care about Mars, what it takes to get there, what’s been learned, and what comes next. Davis is an Emmy awardwinning writer, producer and director of science and history documentaries for PBS, National Geographic, and Discovery Channel. In 2002, he pitched NOVA on the idea of following a mission to Mars. He soon found himself riding along on a whiteknuckle journey that touched down safely on Mars in 2004. Portside Waterfront Kitchen & Bar, a Paula Estey Gallery partner location, will have new artwork on display in its front of the house gallery. Enjoy delicious food and drink, mingle with PEG artists, hear about Mark’s cosmic adventures, and watch a short film. Paula Estey, Founder of PEG, A Center for Art & Activism, will share a few thoughts. Space is limited to 30 people so get your tickets today! Appetizers included; cash bar.
