Come to the concert early to find out more about the repertoire being performed that evening.ABOUT THE LECTURER: Bill Matthews is a composer and the Alice Swanson Esty Professor at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where he has taught since 1978. He attended Oberlin Conservatory, the Univ. of Iowa, the Institute for Sonology in the Netherlands, and has a doctorate from the Yale School of Music. His own compositions are for diverse chamber, vocal, and orchestral ensembles, and for computer synthesized sound and video. He often works with modern dancers.
