The Takács Quartet is renowned for the vitality of its interpretations. The New York Times recently lauded the ensemble for “revealingthe familiar as unfamiliar, making the most traditional of works feel radical once more.” Based at the University of Colorado, the Quartet performs 80 concerts a year worldwide where they are known to “show no fear, injecting the music with a heady sense of freedom” (Financial Times).The Quartet performs works of Mozart, Bartók, and Beethoven.
