Saturday’s festivities begin with the annual Scandinavian Jul Fest at Spiran Hall, from 9 am to 1 pm. At Noon the Solstice Singers return, strolling through town singing songs of the season until 2 pm, while from 1 pm to 3 pm Quintessential Brass will perform traditional carols, holiday classics, and jazzy Christmas favorites throughout downtown Rockport.
Rockport’s Christmas Stroll Weekend also features the 14th annual Art Gallery Stroll on Saturday, December 12 and Sunday, December 13 from Noon to 4 pm.
Gallery Stroll maps will be available at all participating galleries and at the information shed located at Barletta Park; look for the Art Gallery Stroll banners displayed at participating galleries.
On Saturday and Sunday, Cynthia Curtis Pottery presents the 11th annual Holiday Show & Sale, from 10 am to 5 pm at Cynthia’s studio located at 80 Pigeon Hill Street in Pigeon Cove. Free admission, refreshments and plenty of parking. All are welcome!
On Saturday there will be a Benefit Raffle at the Art of David Arsenault of “Rockport’s Usual Suspects”—for Christmas in Rockport Live Jazz by the Christian Conti Trio 4-6 pm. Seasonal refreshments.
On Sunday at The Art of David Arsenault there will be “Meet the Artist” 3 p.m. David will offer a presentation with Q & A about his inspiration as an artist and recent Cape Ann paintings.
