MitoAction’s Kentucky Derby themed fundraiser was created in honor of a woman who knew the importance of doing things for others and who loved to celebrate the Kentucky Derby. Sandra K Russell hosted an annual Kentucky derby party in her home, when she lost her battle with mitochondrial disease, MitoAction created this annual fundraiser in her honor.
MitoAction will return to the Mandarin Oriental, Boston to host the seventh annual SKR Derby Day Benefit. This one of kind, high energy, impactful fundraiser is not possible without your support.
Guests are treated to a live broadcast of the race, derby themed menu and cocktails, silent and live auctions, a ladies hat contest and a men’s bow tie contest and so much more! This event attracts repeat guests year over year that come back to be a part of this unique, upscale event while focusing on helping a great cause.
This event is vital to helping raise the funds that support the numerous programs that MitoAction offers to patients across the county.
