Join us for a clambake and party to celebrate the opening of our new exhibit, By Skiff and Basket! There will be plenty of food and craft and activity stations for all ages. By Skiff and Basket explores the changing technologies of the Essex clamming industry over the last hundred years and features oak and wire clamming baskets and an original Essex Clamming Skiff alongside a brand new re-creation built in our shipyard by students from Topsfield Vocational Academy over the last year. Admission to theexhibit and select craft stations is free! This project is funded in partby a grant of Essex County Community Foundation’s Creative County Initiative (CCI), a collaboration with the Barr Foundation designed to elevate Essex County’s art and culture sector and support our local creative economy.
