Marblehead, MA, January 8th, 2021 – Join Lacey Villiva of George Mason’s Gunston Hall in Lorton, Virginia and Amy Durbin of the Marblehead Museum for a fun and engaging virtual program on the homes of two Patriots! While each structure is of the same architectural style, their features vary in size and scope; from the number of staircases, to the location of the kitchen, and more. Why are these homes so different? What role did geography play? What about the impact of the mid-18th century economy? These questions and more, will be answered using images of the sites and discussion between the presenters and the audience.
This program will be held on Facebook Live, with limited Zoom room access for members of each organization.
