It is estimated that video will be 80% of global internet traffic by 2018.
Video Shorts is a practical video production course for anyone interested in harnessing the power of video. We will examine the various types of short-form videos – commercials, viral videos, documentaries, and narrative shorts. We will analyze the elements that go into successful shorts, learn basic technical production techniques, each student will shoot and edit their own short video, and we will finish with a screening/group critique. Students may come with an idea for a short video or be assigned one.
Prerequisite: No experience required. Students must bring their own video camera. If you don’t have one, contact the instructor to make arrangements for a rental.
