The iconic House of the Seven Gables, a work of architectural beauty and stirring drama, also makes a commanding statement on canvas. To make your own painting of The Gables at the same time that you support a worthy cause, join an instructor at the Wicked Art Bar in Beverly and grab a paintbrush.
On Wednesday, March 23, the Wicked Art Bar in Beverly sets up its studio on behalf of The Gables. Instruction and supplies are provided so that participants, regardless of skill level, can create a 16-by-20-inch painting. Those interested are encouraged to bring friends and family. For every $45 admission fee paid, $20 goes to The Gables Settlement Association.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for check-in and mingling. Instruction begins at 6:30 p.m. Snacks, beverages, beer and wine will be for sale. The Wicked Art Bar is located at 95 Rantoul St., Beverly.
