This workshop is a rare opportunity to print on an iron hand press. We’ll teach on our Adams Press, No. 264, manufactured by I & SAdams & Company in 1888 in Boston. Known as an “Acorn” press because of its shape, the Adams is pictured on right in photo. Participants will learn about the history of the iron hand press, how to do set-up, packing, makeready, inking, and pull a good print. Students will take home a keepsake created by the class. The one-day workshop is limited to six, all materials are provided, there are no prerequisites, $105 non-members, $95 members.
