SUMMARY:Saturday Brunch with Neil Miller
DESCRIPTION:Neil Miller has been a performer for most of his life. As a professional magician he\nracked up more than 50 shows by his thirteenth birthday. His high school band started\nhim on a lifelong path to be the musician he is today. Trained as a classical pianist from\nthe age of seven\, he later paid his dues working seven-nighters playing R&B in Boston’s\ninfamous Combat Zone. He has appeared at over one hundred venues throughout the\nNortheast\, from the dirtiest dives to the largest concert halls. For ten years he\nled the house band for gospel singer Reverend Lee Mitchell at the Original House of\nBlues in Harvard Square\, and wrote and performed on three of the Rev’s CDs.\nAfter completing a double major in music and electrical engineering\, he was on the road\nfor ten years with a variety of bands you have not heard of. Neil designed\, modified\,\nbuilt or rebuilt most of the equipment that has made up his evolving keyboard rig.\nNeil is among the few musicians who have played with both Bo Diddley and the Boston\nSymphony Orchestra. He has worked with original members of legendary acts including\nthe Belmonts\, the Vandellas\, the band Boston\, the Contours\, the Chiffons\, Gary US\nBonds\, Peaches and Herb\, the Shirelles\, and Tiny Tim.\nMore recently\, he appears with his classical chamber trio\, his jazz/blues/jam trio RnB3\,\nand with many of the finest vocalists in the Boston area. He is a piano soloist at local\nvenues and private functions\, and in the lobby of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.\nAs an engineer\, he has created musical products for Ovation Guitars\, Parker Guitars\,\nFishman Transducers and designed the electronics for the Scholz Rockman\, a\nlegendary guitar processor heard on many hit records including from the bands Boston\,\nZZ Top\, and Moody Blues.

SUMMARY:Outside Mullingar by John Patrick Shanley (at The Actors Studio in Salisbury)
DESCRIPTION:Anthony and Rosemary are two introverted misfits straddling 40. Anthony has spent his entire life on a cattle farm in rural Ireland\, a state of affairs that—due to his painful shyness—suits him well. Rosemary lives right next door\, determined to have him\, watching the years slip away. \nWith Anthony’s father threatening to disinherit him and a land feud simmering between their families\, Rosemary has every reason to fear romantic catastrophe. But then\, in this very Irish story with a surprising depth of poetic passion\, these yearning\, eccentric souls fight their way towards solid ground and some kind of happiness. Their journey is heartbreaking\, funny as hell\, and ultimately deeply moving. \nOUTSIDE MULLINGAR is a compassionate\, delightful work about how it’s never too late to take a chance on love. \nVenue: The Actors Studio of Newburyport– Crossroads Plaza\n1 Merrill Street\, Unit # 3\nSalisbury\, MA 01952
