From Academy Award®-nominated directing duo Ben Proudfoot and Kris Bowers\, The Last Repair Shop grants an all-access pass to the nondescript downtown warehouse where a dwindling handful of devoted craftspeople keep over 80\,000 student instruments in good repair. \nThis film\, which won the 2024 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short\, tells the story of four unassuming heroes who ensure no student is deprived of the joy of music. It is also a reminder of how music can be the best medicine\, stress reliever and even an escape from poverty. \nFree\, reservations are encouraged.

DESCRIPTION:Bring Dad to Appleton Farms on the Saturday of Father’s Day weekend for our own seasonal wood-fired pizza\, local beer\, local BBQ\, and live music! Appleton will be slinging their famous pies which are not to be missed! We’ll also have Notch\, and Rockport Brewing Co. on-site serving up some cold suds\, barbecue from Fat Belly Food Truck and sweet treats from Whoo(pie) Pie Wagon. \nEnjoy music from Chuck Doran & Friends! \nPlease select either 12pm or 2:30pm for your timed-ticket entrance fee. Tickets are by the car – $20 for Trustees Members and $30 for nonmembers. Carpooling is encouraged! The cost will cover parking and access to this special event\, including the concert and games. Food and beer must be purchased separately. \nSpace is limited and pre-registration is strongly suggested. Limited seating is available. We recommend bringing blankets or camping chairs. You may be required to walk several minutes to get to the event from overflow parking through our crop-field paths or dirt roads.
