Tours begin on the hour from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (last tour departs at 3:00 p.m.). Please note: certain dates are excluded\, and tours are weather permitting. \nStep back in time as your knowledgeable guide leads you through two floors of our 1808 brick Federal-style home\, where every room is filled with objects\, stories\, and memories of Old Newbury. DESCRIPTION:Lino Block Printing with Susan Stranc\nSaturday\, March 28th\, 11:00am-4:00pm | Meet @ Newburyport Art\, walk to Susan’s studio (2 blocks away)\n$95 for NAA members / $125 non-members\nRelief Block Printing Workshop: In this one-day introductory printmaking workshop\, participants will have free choice of working with their own simple motif designs to carve into Soft Kut printing blocks. This rubber type of block is easier to carve and is a good alternative to the harder relief materials such as battleship linoleum. Studio time will be spent designing and transferring the drawing to the block\, instruction to the care and use of carving tools\, how to register block for the inking and printing of block on paper. Water based inks will be used.
