SUMMARY:Costumes & Candlelight: Hammond Castle Museum After Dark
DESCRIPTION:When the sun goes down\, the Museum feels like another world. \nExplore the shadowed halls and candlelit Courtyard\, where ancient Roman sarcophagi stand among 15th-century French storefronts and centuries-old stonework. Search for hidden ravens\, wander through rooms filled with medieval and Renaissance treasures\, and let the flickering candlelight transform the Museum into the perfect setting for Halloween. \nCome in costume. Bring your camera. And prepare to see the Museum in a whole new light.\nOr perhaps\, in this case\, a whole new darkness. \nGuests should plan at least 60 minutes to explore the grounds and galleries of this historic museum. This event is expected to sell out. We strongly encourage carpooling with friends or using a ride-share service. At nearly a century\, the museum and castle grounds are not handicapped accessible. This program is not intended for those under 13 years of age. \nWe recommend arriving 10 minutes early to allow enough time for the walk from the parking lot down to the museum\, then for the check-in process. Unfortunately\, we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. If you miss the start of your timed session\, you will not be admitted at another time. Please note: all ticket sales are final\, refunds are not offered\, and exchanges for other tour times are not permitted. Heavy traffic should be considered when planning your travel time. \nHammond Castle Museum member discounts apply! All proceeds from this program will support the restoration and preservation of the museum. \n– Timed entrances every 15 minutes\n– 6-9 pm\n– Advanced reservations strongly encouraged.

SUMMARY:The Rockport Murder Mysteries
DESCRIPTION:Join 1623 Studios for the premiere of the newest installment of its award-winning Timeline: Cape Ann documentary series\, The Rockport Murder Mysteries. Based on the book Murder in Rockport\, Massachusetts: Terror in a Small Town by Robert Fitzgibbon and Wayne Soini\, the film explores one of Cape Ann’s most haunting unsolved crimes. \nOn May 21\, 1932\, Rockport tailor Arthur Oker was brutally murdered in his shop\, shocking the quiet seaside community. Little more than a year later\, another Rockport resident\, Augusta Johnson\, was murdered in her home. The two crimes sparked an extensive investigation that included searches throughout the town\, thousands of interviews\, and countless leads. Yet despite the extraordinary effort to find answers\, both murders remain unsolved more than 90 years later. \nProduced by 1623 Studios\, The Rockport Murder Mysteries brings this fascinating chapter of local history to life through archival photographs and extensive historical research\, revisiting the crimes that shook the Rockport community more than 90 years ago. \nFollowing the screening\, stay for a conversation with 1623 Studios producer Kory Curcuru and authors Robert Fitzgibbon and Wayne Soini\, as they discuss the history behind the murders\, the research that informed the book and documentary\, and the process of bringing this remarkable local story to the screen. \nProceeds from ticket sales will benefit 1623 Studios and help support its mission to provide community media\, local programming\, and opportunities for people across Cape Ann to share their stories. \nProgram Length: Approximately 85 minutes\, followed by a post-screening discussion. There will be no intermission.
