We’ll be hosting the traveling art studio Creative Wanderings for mosaic making outside PEM’s front door. We’ll also be joined by Artists For Humanity\, a Boston-based organization that trains and employs teens in creative fields of work and aims to transform communities through creative expression. Join them to help make a collaborative mural! \nOn Sunday\, June 8\, PEM will host a special pop-up photobooth inside the museum. Inspired by the opening of Jung Yeondoo: Building Dreams\, Artists for Humanity designed an experience to let you step into your dreams. \nSalem Main Streets and Creative Collective organize the Salem Arts Festival with support from Salem State University Center for the Creative and Performing Arts\, the Peabody Essex Museum and many more sponsors.

Grab a drink from the Outdoor Hard Cider Bar 11 am – 4 pm on Saturdays and 12-4 pm on Sundays. \nFood – Grab lunch at the food truck 11 am – 4 pm and snacks in the farm store 8 am – 6 pm. Guest food trucks and vendors pop-ups regularly. \nPlay – Parking\, play areas and barnyard are always free and open 8 am – 6 pm daily. Bee observatory\, chickens and goats arrive mid-May. \nWeather – Music\, food truck and hard cider bar are weather dependent. We make decisions 8 am on the day of in case weather shifts overnight. The 47 pieces in the exhibition include paintings\, mixed media\, sculpture and video\, all of which utilize the fundamental design element of shape as a defining component of the work. \nLecture: The Shape of Abstraction: Tracing a Visual Revolution\, Wednesday\, June 25\, 7pm\nJoin Boston artist and educator Adria Arch for a dynamic visual presentation tracing the evolution of abstract art. Running from June 5 to 28\, all performances are at Gloucester Stage’s Theater 267 East Main Street\, Gloucester.
