SUMMARY:Outdoor Hard Cider Bar & Free Live Music Series at Cider Hill Farm
DESCRIPTION:Every weekend at Cider Hill Farm farm brings FREE family-friendly live music on the main lawn from 12-3 pm and extended music on festival dates 11 am – 4 pm. Grab a drink from the Outdoor Hard Cider Bar 11 am – 4 pm on Saturdays and 12-4 pm on Sundays. \nFood – Grab lunch at the food truck 11 am – 4 pm and snacks in the farm store 8 am – 6 pm. Guest food trucks and vendors pop-ups regularly. \nPlay – Parking\, play areas and barnyard are always free and open 8 am – 6 pm daily. Bee observatory\, chickens and goats arrive mid-May. \nWeather – Music\, food truck and hard cider bar are weather dependent. We make decisions 8 am on the day of in case weather shifts overnight. Check website at 8:30 am.

DESCRIPTION:Newburyport Art (NAA) announces its next exhibition\, 10 x 10 Small Works\, on view Friday\, July 11th through Wednesday\, July 23rd. This show features over 80 art pieces that are all 10” x 10” in size. The artworks may be small\, yet are big on creativity using various mediums\, all featured in the first floor Sargent Gallery. \nThis exhibition coincides with Newburyport Art’s Watercolor Featured Interest Group Show\, on view in the first floor Hills Gallery. The Watercolor Featured Interest Group Show will share an opening reception with Small Works on Saturday\, July 12th\, from 4-6pm. The public is welcome to attend\, meet some of the exhibiting artists\, and enjoy light refreshments. \nFounded in 1948\, Newburyport Art is dedicated to promoting and exhibiting members’ work and to providing art education and access to the visual arts for the entire community. \nThe galleries are free and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am–5:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm–5:00pm. Newburyport Art is closed on Mondays. The ground-floor Hills Gallery has an accessible entrance. The 47 pieces in the exhibition include paintings\, mixed media\, sculpture and video\, all of which utilize the fundamental design element of shape as a defining component of the work. \nLecture: The Shape of Abstraction: Tracing a Visual Revolution\, Wednesday\, June 25\, 7pm\nJoin Boston artist and educator Adria Arch for a dynamic visual presentation tracing the evolution of abstract art. Special focus is given to women artists whose contributions have often been overlooked.
