SUMMARY:An American Tapestry: The Cambodian Spirit
DESCRIPTION:Come experience The Cambodian Spirit – a story of heritage\, resilience\, beauty\, and renewal \nExplore the evocative mythology that underlies Cambodia’s traditional Creation Story through an immersive blend of Apsara dance\, traditional Cambodian music\, storytelling\, and original orchestral compositions. The event features The Orchestra on the Hill\, Angkor Dance Troupe\, Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association\, and Cambodian Living Arts in a collaborative celebration of Cambodia’s remarkable artistic heritage. \nIn times of uncertainty\, humanity is often tested. Yet even through fear\, conflict\, and division\, we share a common hope: to find one another again. This performance explores that journey—from creation to conflict\, and ultimately toward peace. \nThrough the generosity of our sponsors\, An American Tapestry: The Cambodian Spirit is a FREE community event. However\, registration is required to ensure seating availability. Donations are welcome and can be made when you reserve your seats. \nFriday\, October 9\, 2026\nThe Ipswich Community House \n7:00 pm – Preconcert Talk\n7:30 pm – Concert\n31 North Main Street\nIpswich\, MA \nSunday\, October 11\, 2026\nLowell High School Auditorium \n2:30 pm – Preconcert Talk\n3:00 pm – Concert\n50 Father Morissette Boulevard\nLowell\, MA \nAbout An American Tapestry: The Cambodian Spirit\nEach year\, An American Tapestry will bring The Orchestra on the Hill together with artists\, cultural organizations\, and members of a featured immigrant community to explore and celebrate its music\, traditions\, stories\, and artistic heritage. Through original orchestral works and multidisciplinary collaboration\, the series will illuminate the many threads that have shaped our nation—celebrating American culture as a rich and evolving tapestry woven from traditions\, experiences\, and voices from around the world. \nOur inaugural presentation\, The Cambodian Spirit\, embodies the vision at the heart of the initiative: bringing audiences together to experience Cambodia’s extraordinary cultural legacy through music\, movement\, history\, and storytelling—and to explore how that legacy has become a vibrant and meaningful part of the American experience. \nFor more information about the participating organizations\, please visit their websites: \nThe Orchestra on the Hill\nwww.theorchestraonthehill.org \nAngkor Dance Troupe\nwww.angkordance.org \nCambodian Mutual Assistance Association\nwww.cmaalowell.org \nCambodian Living Arts\nwww.cambodianlivingarts.org

SUMMARY:Growing Together: Fall Planting & Garden Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Prepare your garden for winter while setting the stage for a healthier\, more productive spring. This lesson explores what to cut back\, what to leave standing for wildlife\, what\, how and when to plant in fall\, and simple ways to protect your soil and perennial plants through the colder months. Participants will also learn how to turn existing garden debris into nutrient-rich mulch\, reducing waste while returning organic matter to the garden. This class takes a thoughtful\, ecological approach to fall cleanup\, working with nature rather than against it. \nGrowing Together is a new hands-on gardening series at Stevens-Coolidge House & Gardens\, created in collaboration with Arianna Iappini of Birch Arbor Gardens. Designed for gardeners of all experience levels\, this series invites participants to learn\, connect\, and cultivate alongside one another through the seasons. Each session blends practical instruction with thoughtful conversation\, exploring sustainable gardening practices\, seasonal rhythms\, and the deeper relationships between plants\, place\, and people. Rooted in community and shared knowledge\, Growing Together offers a welcoming space to grow skills\, confidence\, and connection in the historic gardens. \nSpace is limited—pre-registration is required for this event. This program is rain or shine! In the event of cancellation\, you will be notified via the email address you used to register and refunded in full within 14 business days. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. \nMembership: To locate information about your Membership\, including Member ID\, expiration date\, and more please visit: https://explore.thetrustees.org/manage. \nTickets: To look up your tickets or re-send an email confirmation\, please visit: https://explore.thetrustees.org/order-lookup.
