Set against the backdrop of the Atlantic at the historic Hammond Castle Museum\, this outdoor performance features a rich blend of The Firebird Pops strings and brass\, led by conductor Brendan J. Kenney. \nThe program includes a special appearance by Elke Jahns-Harms\, making her Firebird debut on Native American flutes. Returning vocalists Fred C. VanNess\, Jr.\, and Mara Bonde join us once again to bring powerful and poignant selections to life. \nEnjoy this celebration of heritage\, unity\, and freedom\, right by the sea.\nPlease note: There are no assigned seats.\nLight refreshments will be available for purchase. In the event of inclement weather\, this performance will occur in the Great Hall. \n*This ticket grants you access to the Firebird Pops Orchestra performance\, which will be held outside on the ocean-facing lawn\, as well as access to the Museum Shop. At the time of this event\, the Museum will be closed to tours. If concert ticket holders wish to tour Hammond Castle Museum prior to 2:30pm on the day of their ticketed performance\, Self-Guided Tour tickets may be purchased in the Museum Shop at a 20% discount. Proof of purchase of the Sea to Shining Sea performance will be required. The Museum and Museum Shop close promptly at 3:30pm. \nAll proceeds from this program support additional programs and ongoing Museum restorations.

Dueling Pianos is a massive “to the top of your lungs” sing along with all your friends! Two grand pianos are center-stage with a team of outrageously talented pianists that seem to know every song ever written. \nEach show is different because it’s all request. And you or your friends might get called up onstage for a bit of good humored fun and some unforgettable u-tube moments. These shows are request oriented\, interactive sing-a-longs wherein two piano players sit across from each other and trade songs. The dueling piano audience is used for the dueling aspect of the show. Audience members are pitted one-side-against-the-other. Examples of rivalries include country vs. rock\, men against women\, etc. \nPeople do love to interact and have fun. The piano players act as the “Entertainment Directors\,” responsible for maintaining enthusiasm and maximizing laughs. Hand-picked from only the finest regional talent\, they are experts on keeping audience members involved\, happy and singing. \nDueling piano shows often take unexpected turns\, like involving wait staff members\, changing song lyrics or roasting popular audience members. There aren’t many boundaries. It’s an all-ages show that is the perfect entertainment anyone who like to have fun; one big sing-along party\, swaying to the music and bellowing-out familiar lyrics. DESCRIPTION:The “King of Telluride” delivers Rockport the high-energy\, jazz and rock-infused newgrass that earned him an Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award. \nSam Bush\, a pioneering force in progressive bluegrass\, has spent over five decades redefining the genre with his signature mandolin style and genre-blending approach. Born in Bowling Green\, Kentucky\, he was immersed in music from an early age\, influenced by his father’s fiddle playing and inspired by artists like Bill Monroe and the Osborne Brothers. By his teens\, Bush had already won a three national championships in the junior division of the National Oldtime Fiddler’s Contest and recorded his first album\, Poor Richard’s Almanac. \nIn 1966\, at just 18\, he turned down an offer to join country star Roy Acuff’s band\, choosing instead to follow a more experimental path. He joined the Bluegrass Alliance in 1969\, where he first played with future collaborators. The following year\, Bush and his bandmates formed New Grass Revival\, igniting a revolution in bluegrass by incorporating elements of rock\, jazz\, reggae\, and improvisation. Despite initial resistance from traditionalists\, the band gained a devoted following\, toured with Leon Russell\, and became a staple of the festival circuit. Bush’s innovative mandolin technique and boundary-pushing compositions helped solidify New Grass Revival’s legacy through the 1970s and 1980s. \nBush moved on from the band in 1989 after two decades\, spending the next several years collaborating with Emmylou Harris’ Nash Ramblers and later Lyle Lovett. He earned multiple International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Mandolin Player of the Year awards and reconnected with Béla Fleck to tour with the Flecktones. In 1995\, he embarked on a solo career\, releasing acclaimed albums such as Glamour & Grits (1996) and Laps in Seven (2006)\, showcasing his signature mix of bluegrass\, jam-band energy\, and instrumental mastery. \nA festival favorite\, Bush became a regular at Telluride\, earning the title “King of Telluride” for his electrifying performances. The brainchild of ace Boston guitarists Ryan Taylor and Johnny Trama\, this collective\, more than a mere homage\, harness the Allman Brothers tradition as a vehicle to bring a unique and exciting experience every night. \nMatt Zeiner began his professional music career touring with Matt “Guitar” Murphy\, who exposed him to a fusion of blues and jazz. His career took a significant turn in 2000 when Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers Band recruited him as a keyboardist and vocalist\, leading to a fruitful collaboration and tour. Zeiner’s own songwriting flourished during this time\, contributing notably to the band’s repertoire. After four years touring\, he returned home\, focused on original material\, and formed his own band. They achieved recognition with their 2007 release\, “Live on a Summer Night\,” and continued to evolve through collaborations with artists like Melvin Sparks and Jeff Pevar. Zeiner’s band has since been working on an ambitious new album\, showcasing his ability to craft infectious melodies with tight\, dynamic arrangements across a range of soul\, R&B\, and rock genres. Johnny Trama on guitar conjures up riffs and rhythms that speak volumes. His journey through the realms of rock\, soul\, and blues\, playing with icons like Bettye LaVette and Jesse Dee\, has armed him with a mystical musical prowess. Jesse Williams on bass has played with everyone from Duke Robillard\, Louis Walker to North Mississippi Allstars. Tom Arey behind the drums has played with artists like Peter Wolf’s Midnight Travelers. DESCRIPTION:Every weekend at Cider Hill Farm farm brings FREE family-friendly live music on the main lawn from 12-3 pm and extended music on festival dates 11 am – 4 pm. Grab a drink from the Outdoor Hard Cider Bar 11 am – 4 pm on Saturdays and 12-4 pm on Sundays. \nFood – Grab lunch at the food truck 11 am – 4 pm and snacks in the farm store 8 am – 6 pm. Guest food trucks and vendors pop-ups regularly. \nPlay – Parking\, play areas and barnyard are always free and open 8 am – 6 pm daily. Bee observatory\, chickens and goats arrive mid-May. \nWeather – Music\, food truck and hard cider bar are weather dependent. We make decisions 8 am on the day of in case weather shifts overnight. Check website at 8:30 am.

This conversation among original works by artists Muriel Teodori\, Kessada and Steve Nieve pays tribute to two of the most iconic figures in modern music: Tom Waits and Elvis Costello. \nThrough conversation\, live performance and personal storytelling\, the trio invites the audience to reflect on the art of creation\, the power of love and the eternal interplay between control and spontaneity in artistic expression. \nThe Talk: Three Angles on Artistic Creation \n1. What is the process of creation in art?\nMuriel Teodori explores the psychological and philosophical dimensions of creativity. \n2. Improvisation: Does it really exist?\nIs improvisation truly spontaneous\, or is it the result of years of structure and discipline? Steve Nieve draws from his classical training and rock experience to explore improvisation as both freedom and illusion. \n3. Production: Can it be Perfect? Control or Freedom?\nIn the age of digital tools and infinite takes\, Kessada questions the obsession with perfection. \nThe Concert: Art is Love \nOriginal songs are woven together with deeply personal interpretations of works by Tom Waits and Elvis Costello — two masters of storytelling through music.
