SUMMARY:Puss N Boots w/ Norah Jones\, Sasha Dobson & Catherine Popper
DESCRIPTION:IN 2008\, NORAH JONES\, SASHA DOBSON\, AND CATHERINE POPPER FORMED PUSS N BOOTS. \nInitially it was a vehicle for Jones and Dobson to play music together and try new things\, with Popper joining on bass shortly after. The trio played various New York clubs\, with a repertoire anchored in Americana\, country\, folk\, pop and rock. The band became an outlet for Jones\, Dobson and Popper to switch instruments\, and allowed them to showcase a different side of themselves than in their various solo and side projects. \nIn 2013\, some five years after the group began playing\, they signed with Blue Note Records and set out to assemble their debut record. Comprised of originals and covers\, studio recordings and live performances\, that debut was called No Fools\, No Fun. Released in the summer of 2014\, it was supported by a tour of the U.S. \nIn 2019\, the trio took the stage at the MusiCares charity event honoring Person of the Year Award recipient Dolly Parton\, and performed Parton’s “The Grass Is Blue”. Later that year Jones\, Dobson\, and Popper released their holiday album Dear Santa\, followed by their 2nd full length album Sister in 2020.

SUMMARY:Jeffrey Gaines
DESCRIPTION:Jeffrey Gaines has been heralded for his soul-searching lyrics and his powerful live performances. \nWith only his voice and a guitar for accompaniment\, Gaines has earned a reputation as a captivating performer\, entertaining his audiences worldwide. \nThroughout his three-decade recording career\, Gaines has maintained an impressive standard for soul-searching\, introspective lyrics and catchy\, uplifting melodies. Since bursting on the scene with his self-titled 1992 debut album\, the charismatic singer-songwriter-guitarist has built a beloved body of recordings that’s won him a large and deeply devoted international fan base. He has sold out theaters and clubs throughout North America and Europe. With his compelling live performances gaining high respect\, Gaines was asked to join tours as support act for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers in Europe\, Tracy Chapman\, and Stevie Nicks with Sheryl Crow\, among others. He will be supporting Roger Daltry on his upcoming tour. \nGaines landed his first record deal shortly after graduating from high school\, and in 1992 released his widely acclaimed debut album Jeffrey Gaines. The eponymous disc won massive amounts of critical and audience acclaim\, spawning the hit “Hero in Me.” Somewhat Slightly Dazed (1994) and Galore (1998) further expanded his audience. Interview magazine described Gaines’ work as “soul-searching” and “refreshingly free of jargon\, sentiment or cliché.” \nIn 2001\, Gaines’ release Always Be yielded a surprise hit in his deeply felt interpretation of Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes”; 2003’s Toward the Sun attracted even more critical accolades\, with Mojo praising the “soul-folkie’s sexy growl” and The Boston Globe declaring that “Gaines’ soulful\, wounded vocals make a case for his being one of pop’s finest singers.” Toward the Sun was followed by a pair of live albums\, the 2004 CD/DVD Jeffrey Gaines Live and 2012’s Live in Europe\, which reflected the deep and abiding rapport that Gaines has with his fans. In 2018\, Gaines released his eighth studio album\, Alright. The album was recorded in Los Angeles with Chris Price\, Val McCallum and Elvis Costello’s Imposters\, Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher. \n“The biggest pleasure I derive from this is playing live\,” Gaines notes. “There’s nothing more satisfying for me than a good live gig. I’m in control\, but the audience can take it to a place that’s higher than I can imagine. When I show up for a live gig\, I don’t need much\, there’s no rider. It’s just\, turn it on\, let the audience in\, and we’ll do the rest. It’s the best job anyone could ever have.” \nWith more than a quarter-century of recording and performing under his belt\, Jeffrey Gaines is enjoying life and music more than ever. “Nowadays\, I know what the job is about so there’s nothing to stress about\,” he says. “I know that there’s people out there who want it\, so I have the opportunity to extend their experience. I guess I could lay my albums all out and see that they tell a story\, but personally I prefer to keep looking forward.”

D.D. earned second chair in the All-Eastern Honors Ensemble representing Massachusetts which garnered her a scholarship. After college D.D. began performing with local bands throughout NE which led to the inception of her band DD & The Road Kings. Her work put her closely associated with the fraternity that is; Roomful of Blues\, Sugar Ray and the Bluetones\, The Broadcasters and the dozens of splinter groups who have branched off — shaping many other New England Blues bands. Certainly\, when three of them show up on D.D. and the Road Kings’ album Lover Bird\, which was well received by critics and fans alike\, there is a common thread that can be traced back to the ’60s Blues revival. D.D. is also a Choral Director in the public school system with 20+ years as a private music teacher. Her love of singing is what fuels her soulful and powerful performances. \nChris Vachon – Guitar Chris is a true multi-talent. He has worked in several long-standing acts in Rhode Island (blues\, jazz\, and swing) and has played many one-off gigs with various bands throughout the region. It was Rich’s interest in the swinging bands of the ’30s and ’40s that led Roomful to forge the distinctive sound that has become the band’s trademark. A man who can play both sides of the fence\, lyrically tender or blisteringly hot\, Rich has a big\, warm tone that is always jam-packed with feeling. His melodic inventiveness reflects the depth and breadth of his wide-ranging influences. Rich worked with various local and high- school bands before beginning his long-term relationship with Roomful. \nCraig Thomas – Baritone and Tenor Sax Craig was born in Washington DC and grew up in Maryland. SUMMARY:Geoff Tate - Operation: Mindcrime - The Final Chapter
DESCRIPTION:Multi-platinum selling\, Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Geoff Tate is best known for his 30-plus years as the creative and driving force behind the progressive metal band Queensryche. \nMulti-platinum selling\, Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Geoff Tate is best known for his 30-plus years as the creative and driving force behind the progressive metal band Queensryche. \nSince its inception with Geoff at the helm\, Queensryche has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and has performed in upwards of fifty countries. Geoff is regarded as one of the most skilled vocalists in the genre with hundreds of modern\, popular artists citing him and his former band as a major influence. Combining social consciousness and expertly crafted lyrics with high-energy\, melodically complex music\, Queensryche with Geoff Tate at the forefront became internationally recognized as the thinking man’s rock band. The band’s first three albums — their self-titled EP (1983)\, The Warning (1984) and Rage for Order (1986) — all hit gold status selling over 500\,000 units each. \nWith the release of their landmark concept album Operation: Mindcrime (1988) — which won critical and popular acclaim and comparisons to the Who’s Tommy and Pink Floyd’s The Wall — Queensryche went on to bring their progressive music to sold-out audiences the world over. Following the album’s platinum success\, Queensryche released Empire\, which quickly entered the Top Ten on the Billboard charts\, eventually generating sales of more than three million copies. The album featured the hugely popular hit\, “Silent Lucidity\,” which would be the band’s first Top Ten single (#9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart). Geoff and the band would ultimately perform the Grammy nominated song live at the Grammy awards accompanied by a supporting orchestra. In all\, Queensryche has been nominated for a Grammy four times and has had their music featured in three feature films. \nIn 2006\, the band released Operation: Mindcrime II\, a scorching sequel to their original 1988 tale of “Rock\, Revenge and Redemption.” The band would soon hit the road performing both albums back-to-back in their entirety in an incredible theatrical presentation. The spectacle would be captured on Mindcrime at the Moore\, a double CD/DVD release so popular that the DVD would debut at #1 on Billboard’s Top Music DVD chart and eventually reach gold status. Shortly after the release of that hugely successful set\, Queensryche would release another gem in 2007 titled\, Sign of the Times: The Best of Queensryche\, that featured 17 career-spanning tracks including seven Top 10 hits with a two-CD deluxe Collector’s Edition that added fifteen rare and previously unreleased recordings. Later that year\, the band found themselves on the fall leg of the highly acclaimed Heaven and Hell Tour with the late\, great Ronnie James Dio\, Tony Iommi\, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice along with other special guest\, Alice Cooper. The year would culminate with the release of Take Cover\, an adventurous 11-song collection of covers ranging from Black Sabbath to Broadway. \nIn early 2009\, Queensryche released American Soldier (via Atco/Rhino Records)\, a concept album inspired by the stories of military veterans that examines the consequences of war from the soldier’s perspective… yet another effort that will solidify Geoff and the band in rock history. A truly memorable experience\, the band met with\, and performed for\, troops in both the U.S. and the Middle East. In the year 2010\, Queensryche would\, once again\, display their immense creativity by presenting the Queensryche Cabaret\, which was heralded as “the first adults-only rock show.” In 2011\, the band would find themselves celebrating their 30th Anniversary in rock\, marking the occasion with the release of Dedicated to Chaos (Roadrunner Records/Loud & Proud) and an extensive support tour. \nAt the end of 2012\, Geoff released his first solo album in over a decade titled\, Kings & Thieves (InsideOut Music)\, that was quickly followed by the news of a 25th Anniversary Mindcrime Tour that would encompass the United States in 2013. Also that year\, Geoff would release what would be his last album under the Queensryche name\, Frequency Unknown (Cleopatra Records)\, an effort that would feature such guest musicians as Ty Tabor\, K.K. Downing\, Brad Gillis\, Dave Meniketti and Chris Poland along with the members of his version of Queensryche at the time – Rudy Sarzo\, Robert Sarzo\, Simon Wright\, Kelly Gray and Randy Gane. \nIn 2014\, it was announced that Geoff and his band mates would be embarking on their farewell tour as Queensryche\, with a subsequent announcement stating that Queensryche with original lead singer Geoff Tate would be changing its name to “Operation: Mindcrime” in September for future tours and recordings. By the end of the year\, Geoff began working on one of his most ambitious works to date\, an entirely new concept album\, titled The Key\, that would be the first in a trilogy. Released in September of 2015 (Frontiers Music SRL)\, the debut album examined the question\, “What would you do if you discovered the key to changing the way we view the world\, the way we look at time\, the way we travel\, and could essentially change the human condition — for better or for worse?” Next in the trilogy would be 2016’s Resurrection\, completed by 2017’s The New Reality. All three albums were followed up with international tours that included extensive tours of the United States. \nBeginning in March 2025\, Geoff and the current line-up of Operation: Mindcrime\, hit the road to celebrate the final chapter of Operation: Mindcrime\, performing the 1988 landmark concept album from beginning to end in its entirety… It’s a show that Geoff loves to perform and fans love to see\, only proving that good music never goes out of style. As always\, Geoff looks forward to the musical journey that lies ahead and can’t wait to perform his next big rock show.

As rare as it may be for friendships to last a lifetime\, it might be even rarer for a band to stick together for the long haul. For close to four decades\, the members of Big Head Todd and The Monsters—Todd Park Mohr [vocals\, guitar\, keys\, sax\, harmonica]\, Brian Nevin [drums]\, Rob Squires [bass\, vocals]\, and Jeremy Lawton [keyboards\, lap pedal/steel guitar\, vocals]—have continued to both throw down in the studio and light up stages worldwide. Rallying around a core vision\, the platinum-selling Colorado quartet kick out the kind of blues-drenched rock ‘n’ roll bangers that make you want to rev the engine a little louder\, sing along like no one’s looking\, and live a little freer. \nThis holds true on their 12th full-length offering\, Her Way Out. \n“To me\, my band means four people who listen to each other\, work hard\, and share a goal\,” Todd observes. “The goal has to do with reaching out to people\, catching their ears\, and sharing a story we hope they relate to. Our fans have given us an incredible 40-year career\, and we hope they’ve gotten great songs and performances in return.” \nThey’ve most definitely delivered on both fronts… \nAs the story goes\, Todd\, Brian\, and Rob unlocked their musical partnership during high school when they started jamming in the early eighties. Fast forward to 1986\, they adopted the moniker Big Head Todd and The Monsters. BHTM released 2 successful independent records on their own BIG Records\, Another Mayberry (1989) and Midnight Radio (1990) before drawing the attention of music industry titans and signing with Irving Azoff\, Chuck Morris\, and Frank Barsalona in 1992. They broke nationally with the platinum-certified staple Sister Sweetly (1993) which yielded four top 10 rock radio hits. They continued to progress with Strategem [1994] and Beautiful World [1997] which yielded several more rock radio hits including Boom Boom featuring John Lee Hooker. The band is continually touring and recording and has continued to put out albums that have received critical acclaim from both fans and press. \nAmong other milestones\, their music literally reached the heavens when they played “Blue Sky” live at NASA Mission Control\, delivering a celestial wakeup for astronauts aboard the International Space Station. They’ve toured and recorded with many rock and blues legends including B.B. King\, Neil Young\, The Allman Brothers\, Hubert Sumlin\, David “Honeyboy” Edwards\, Dave Matthews Band\, The Eagles and their personal favorite Robert Plant. Not to mention\, they attained hometown hero status by headlining Red Rocks Amphitheatre 35 times in addition to earning induction into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in 2023. \nHer Way Out came to life organically. For two years\, they hosted “Monster’s Music Monthly\,” serving up either a new song or a new version of a classic online. Working out of Jeremy’s home studio\, they parlayed this momentum into their latest LP. \n“It had been almost seven years since our last album release\, but we wanted to put the same energy of ‘Monster’s Music Monthly’ into a full-length\,” Todd notes. “We have a very distinct personality as a band. I write to the sensibilities of each member\, because they’re going to have to dig playing it. We’re a benevolent democracy. If one guy isn’t connecting with a certain song\, that song is out. As an uncomplicated rock band\, we like to do things that are ‘proper’—loud guitars\, drums\, big bass\, and well-placed organ\, keys\, and lap steel. We road-tested every song on the record before recording a lick. All of that helped us dial in the arrangements\, ditch tunes that didn’t work\, and grow a strong sense of what our individual parts should be.” \nIn this respect\, the single and title track “Her Way Out” packs a concentrated and catchy punch. Anchored by a steady beat\, the rough and tumble riff kicks up dust as soulful vocals ignite an irresistible refrain\, “She found her way out\, her way out—and it was me.” \n“It’s driven by the idea that relationships are frail\,” he elaborates. “Sometimes\, they are something one wants freedom from. A real-life circumstance drives this story. Something was said when a person had too much to drink. The relationship ended with words\, but the drinker could never know what he said and the woman refused to tell him.” \nAss-kicking guitar surges through “Thunderbird” as strains of organ coat a raucous refrain with a lyrical tip-of-the-hat to the Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas classic American Graffiti. \nHe goes on\, “‘Thunderbird’ is a collection of one-liners from the film knit together with a beat poet vibe. It has an AC/DC-like guitar riff and a cinematic-style vocal. It’s all about drag racing and love never caught.” \nElsewhere\, Big Head Todd and The Monsters nod to Annie Oakley with “Don’t Kill Me Tonight.” Then\, there’s “King Kong.” A hulking groove lumbers beneath the frontman’s bluesy intonation as a piano solo bleeds into a skyscraper-scaling guitar lead. \n“It’s inspired by a large movie poster in my basement of King Kong on top of the Empire State Building\,” Todd reveals. “I’m drawn to these iconic contemporary heroes who are also monsters. They are complicated because they destroy so much\, yet are sympathetic to children and fall in love with human women. These ‘Titans’\, as they are called\, are often monsters of our own making. It’s exciting to perform live.” \nIn the end\, the future looks as bright as ever for these longtime friends. \n“We work very hard at being a great band\,” Todd leaves off. “We’re also a group that cares for each other. We’ve been together for almost 40 years. Our audience has made it all possible\, and we’re grateful and determined to keep playing.” \n–\nDancing/Standing: Patrons will most likely be standing and dancing at their seats throughout the theater at this event.

SUMMARY:Delta Generators with Julie Rhodes
DESCRIPTION:Real music by real people\, played live and recorded live. This best embodies the philosophy of\nestablished Boston band Delta Generators and their approach for their latest record ON & ON.\nIn an industry where technology has become the standard and intelligence has become artificial\,\nDelta Generators are keeping it real and will continue to do so going forward. All the songs on\nthis record were written\, arranged and rehearsed over a period of eight days and then recorded in\ntwo days at Power Station N.E. in Waterford\, CT by Evan Bakke\, best known for his work with\nWarren Haynes and Prince. The idea was to get together\, play and when something feels right\,\nwork it! No preconceived ideas as to what it should be. A journey of liberation\, inspiration and\nperspiration. Yeah\, Blues is the vehicle\, but their lifelong love of rock music is the fuel that\npowers it. \nBrothers Charlie and Rick O’Neal\, on guitar and bass respectively\, have been playing together\nsince their teenage years. Most notably as members of Benjamin Orr’s band\, former singer and\nbass player with The Cars. Sometimes they would go off and do other projects\, Charlie toured\nwith UK band Must and Rick played in Boston guitar hero Johnny A’s band\, but inevitably they\nwould play together again and again. Charlie had been playing in rock bands throughout\nhis early years\, but he was always a huge fan of Blues guitar. He spent years honing his abilities\nby playing along with records. When the opportunity presented itself for a Blues driven side\nproject\, he was all in. That moment altered his future\, placing him in the position to celebrate his\npassion for personal heroes like Elmore James\, Freddie King and Albert Collins. \nWhen the ensemble was first conceived\, a lover of R&B and Soul named Craig Rawding took\nthe mic as the original front man. Charlie O’Neal brought on his brother Rick as the bassist. And \nin 2007\, the Delta Generators were born. The initial drummer had to bail after a few months\, so\nup-and-coming percussionist Jeff Armstrong was brought into the fold. By 2008\, it was no\nlonger a side project\, and they captured the win at the Boston Blues Challenge. They went on to \nMemphis to compete in the International Blues Challenge where they almost took the top spot. \nFrom there the band went on to forge a solid place in the Boston Blues scene. They went on to\nrecord four records before Craig decided to leave the band in 2016. Enter Brian Templeton\, a\nfixture in the local scene since 1991. His band The Radio Kings had already recorded for two\nlabels\, and he had toured all across the U.S. and Europe with them and as a solo artist. A\nconsummate showman and lover of the spirit\, Brian was rooted in the rock music of his youth\nand was already a seasoned Blues Man. It was a perfect fit and the rest as they say is history.\n“Brian lifted the DGs to a new level with his showmanship and drive\,” says Charlie\, “I don’t\nthink the band would have continued if Brian hadn’t joined.” Brother Rick continues\, “Besides\nhis top-notch vocals\, Brian brought a powerful stage presence and killer harmonica playing to\nthe mix and his lyric writing is in a class all by itself.” \nThe new album is anything but vanilla. After all these years together\, the quartet has a voice and\nswagger that is all their own. The new repertoire is a pure collaboration that has captured what\nmakes this union of these four musicians so organic and pure in its creation. Drummer Jeff\nArmstrong shares\, “Unlike the previous record\, which was more of a compilation of great songs\,\nthis new record stands in itself as a complete cohesive work.” Guitarist Charlie O’Neal offers \, \n“ON & ON perfectly captures the live spirit of the band and is by far sonically superior to any of our previous albums.” \nDelta Generators love writing and recording but they live to play live. Making a connection with\ntheir fans is the most important part of it. As Templeton says. “Making a spiritual bond with the\npeople\, our fans\, is why we do what we do. There really is no other reason.”

SUMMARY:Cowboy Junkies – Celebrating 40 Years and Beyond
DESCRIPTION:Cowboy Junkies will be performing a career-spanning show from The Trinity Session to their recent album\, Such Ferocious Beauty! \n“One of the most unique and enduring bands in alternative rock.” – All Music \n“Margo Timmins’s voice is as melancholy and enchanting as ever” – The New York Times \n“There’s something that is nearly miraculous about the way Margo Timmins’ beautiful voice fits with those pained lyrics written by her brother Michael Timmins…the result is some truly transformative music.” – The Mercury News \nAbout Cowboy Junkies\nSometimes revolutions begin quietly. \nIn 1988\, Cowboy Junkies proved that there was an audience waiting for something quiet\, beautiful and reflective. The Trinity Session was like a whisper that cut through the noise — and it was compelling. It stood out in the midst of the flash and bombast that came to define the late 80’s. The now classic recording combined folk\, blues and rock in a way that had never been heard before and went on to sell more than a million copies. \nFormed in Toronto in 1985 with siblings Michael Timmins on guitar\, Margo Timmins on vocals\, Peter Timmins on drums\, and Michael’s lifelong friend Alan Anton on bass\, the band has sparkled over the course of 29 albums. “I’ve known Alan longer than I’ve known Pete\,” says Michael. “We were friends before Pete was born.” \nUnlike most long-lasting groups\, Cowboy Junkies have never had a break up or taken a sanity-saving hiatus. There’s an appreciation of each other that keeps them constantly working. “It’s that intimacy and understanding of what each one of us brings to the table\,” says Michael.

SUMMARY:John Brown’s Body + Soul Rebel Project
DESCRIPTION:JOHN BROWN’S BODY\nWith a long and storied career on the scene covering three decades and multiple lineup changes\, JBB was formed in 1996 by Kevin Kinsella and released its seminal album “All Time”\, which achieved near mythical status and is credited with being a cornerstone of the US reggae scene. As the original lead singer and songwriter for JBB\, Kinsella is responsible for bringing a vast body of original music to the scene\, and across the first five JBB releases. From its breakout release on Itown Records ‘All Time’\, to multiple releases on Shanachie Records\, JBB cemented itself as a successful touring and recording outfit with an original voice. In 2005\, JBB joined forces with the legends Easy Star Records\, which would begin a lasting and fruitful relationship spanning over ten years and seven releases. \nHailed as “Future roots\, reggae\, and dub with an intricately balanced weaving of vocals\, percussion\, keyboard\, bass\, guitar\, and stunning horn section that ties it all together” (WRUV)\, John Brown’s Body has built “a legacy that has inspired and carved a path for the now thriving contemporary American reggae scene” (Rudeboy Reggae). Formed in Ithaca\, New York\, in the mid 1990s\, at a time when there wasn’t yet a far-reaching U.S. reggae scene\, JBB was one of a small handful of U.S. reggae bands that began touring nationally. Since then\, JBB has played an important role in helping define distinctly “American reggae.” JBB’s music is steeped in traditional vibes\, but unapologetically incorporates elements from other genres. \nTheir unique approach resonated with the masses. The group’s 2008 full-length record\, Amplify\, hit #1 on the Billboard Reggae Chart\, 2012’s JBB In Dub EP reached #1 on iTunes’ Reggae Chart\, and in 2013 Kings And Queens topped both Billboard and iTunes Reggae Charts at #1. On stage\, JBB finds a home across a host of genres and has toured the world extensively\, performing alongside: Slightly Stoopid\, Dave Matthews\, Burning Spear\, Gym Class Heroes\, SOJA\, and many more. \nFeaturing players from all different periods of JBB’s history\, the band has released three singles recently on Easy Star Records\, including dubs from such producers as Tippy\, Prince Fatty\, and Victor Rice. They continue to write\, record\, and perform\, as they have for over thirty years. \nSOUL REBEL PROJECT\nVPAL recording artist Soul Rebel Project are two time winners of the Boston Music Award’s international artist of the year. SRP has shared stages across America to European Reggae Festival Rototom Sun Splash with legends The Wailers\, Sean Paul\, Toots and the Maytals\, Damian Marley\, Barrington Levy\, Kenyatta Hill\, Freddy Mcgregor\, Lee Scratch Perry\, Kabaka Pyramid\, Skatalites\, JBB\, Yellowman\, Stick Figure\, The Movement\, Iration\, Fortunate Youth\, New Kingston\, Redman and Methodman and many more as they’ve worked with world renown reggae record label VP Records. Also having collaborated with Reggae Artist Anthony B\, Sizzla and Capelton Soul Rebel Project was considered for a Grammy for their 2018 album Inspiration. Charting # 5 on the top 100 Reggae albums on iTunes and #2 on The Billboards\, SRP’s first four albums have earned the band industry respect and a reputation as amazing writers\, rooted in Rock Reggae and Dub Jam.
