DESCRIPTION:The Patton Family in New England Tour chronicles the life and legacy of one of America’s premier military families who resided here on Boston’s North Shore. On the tour\, you will see four rooms within the Patton Homestead that are filled with military memorabilia\, family heirlooms\, photography\, books\, and papers that comprise a collection known as the Patton Family Archives. These Archives are also an untapped\, unparalleled resource regarding the service and sacrifice of Maj. Gen. Patton and his troops during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and that of his wife\, Joanne Holbrook Patton\, on the home front. \nGuided tours are offered at select dates and times and are available only by advanced online reservation through the Wenham Museum. Tours are approximately one hour in length and include time for questions. Payment is required at the time of booking. \nFALL TOUR DATES\nSaturday\, September 28\, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.\nSaturday\, October 19\, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. \nTours are $15.00 for members of the Wenham Museum and $20.00 for nonmembers. Active Military and Veteran tour tickets are $10.00. Things just happen\, and I start laughing. It’s like we’ve never heard it sound like that before. We have a great time with it and the audience seems to enjoy the musical exploration too.” \nA multifaceted musician\, producer and songwriter\, Glabicki’s talents are unique and extremely uplifting. She delivers vulnerable songs with a distinctive warble informed by vintage country. Her early\, spare\, acoustic songs grew increasingly lush and dramatic across her several albums. Olsen debuted with the reverb-heavy solo indie folk of 2010’s Strange Cacti\, expanding to an alt-country power trio for her third album\, 2014’s Burn Your Fire for No Witness\, her Billboard 200 debut. Two years later\, My Woman reached a career-high number 47 on the chart. While maintaining an intimate character and a haunting sound reinforced by stylized echo\, Olsen recorded 2019’s All Mirrors with a 14-piece orchestra. The follow-up\, 2020’s Whole New Mess\, offered an overhauled solo version of All Mirrors that included a pair of original songs. DESCRIPTION:Mr. Harrington cordially invites you to a wondrous adventure at Castle Hill! \nTransport yourself to the charm of the 1910s at the Harrington Circus this fall. \nStep into nostalgia with old-fashioned games\, contests\, and races\, and learn circus tricks from professional performers.\nExplore the Grand Allee Midway for magical surprises and activities that await inside the booths!\nStroll through a world of wandering performers\, side shows\, games\, and thrilling staged performances including juggling and aerial acrobatics!\nMr. Harrington will open the circus promptly at 1 PM\, enchanting guests until 4 PM. Professional circus acts will dazzle at the Casino stage\, while the Great House terrace hosts mesmerizing magic acts and more throughout the afternoon. Between performances\, explore the sideshow tents filled with surprises\, accompanied by strolling musicians and magicians adding to the atmosphere of discovery and delight. \nDelightful fare from onsite vendors include BBQ\, sandwiches\, snacks\, and ice cream. For adults\, beverages from Mill River Winery\, True North Ales\, and 1634 Meadery will also be available for sale. \nChildren 3 and under are admitted Free.\nThis event is rain or shine. If the event must be cancelled because of severe weather\, an email will be sent by 9AM on September 22 and tickets will be refunded.
