SUMMARY:Terezin: Children of the Holocaust
DESCRIPTION:Terezin depicts two days within a cell at Theresienstadt\, or Terezin\, a concentration camp outside of Prague that imprisoned hundreds of thousands of Jews from across Europe\, including over 15\,000 children. The play is the story of six of these children and chronicles two days of their lives at the Terezin concentration camp before being deported to Auschwitz. The drama takes place during the International Red Cross inspection of the Terezin concentration camp on June 23\, 1944. Each of the six characters signifies one of the six million Jews who perished during the Holocaust. \nWhile the play suggests the grim reality of what lies ahead for the children of the camp\, it is also a portrait of the unabashed ability of hope that lies in the heart of a child\, and the triumph of spirit many were able to achieve through their relationships and their artwork. The play is an impassioned work remembering the more than one million children whose lives would so horrifically be stolen by the Nazis.

Has that sunk in? 22 of the 23 pairs of chromosomes between us are identical. In fact\, there are only about 78 genes that separate us. In Couples Therapy we explore and exploit these differences in all their magnificent and hilarious glory. \nCouples Therapy is a 90-minute theatrical show led by a pair of married\, relationship experts who dynamically take on several characters and skits throughout the performance. From start to finish the performers interact with the audience both directly as well as through response surveys that are completed prior to the show. It is truly a unique and clever combination of theatre\, stand-up comedy\, and improv that is as funny as it is insightful. \nAudiences go on a hilarious and interactive ride as the relationship experts attempt to help couples with their relationships\, but as the show wears on we see that they have more problems than their patients! \nAnd fear not guys\, this is not one of those beat down sessions on men. Instead\, we equally explore\, appreciate\, and laugh at the differences between men and women. She has released 10 original albums over her 25 year career and has collaborated on projects with dozens of other writers and performers. Her music is played regularly on Sirius XM’s The Loft and has been featured on local radio and TV stations from Modesto to Manhattan. \nA favorite among venues up and down the East Coast\, Berry’s beautiful voice and commanding stage presence have taken her on the road as support for Livingston Taylor\, Chris Smither\, Mavis Staples\, Chris Isaak\, Shawn Colvin\, and many others. \nBerry’s newest original album\, “Peace Love & Happiness”\, was released in 2022. It was created with the founder of Foundation Joy\, a nonprofit in New Hampshire which channels funds into helping drug addicts through rehabilitation. \nChris + Joe (Chris Langathianos and Joe Wilkins)\, a Cape Ann\, Massachusetts-based duo with deep roots in the Greater Boston music scene\, and winners of the 2020 New England Songwriting Competition\, are known for their tight harmonies\, thoughtful songs\, and engaging banter. DESCRIPTION:The incredible harmonies and distinctive arrangements of The Jayhawks set them apart from the rest of the Minneapolis music scene that emerged in the 1980s. \nOver the course of almost 4 decades\, 11 albums\, countless memorable live shows and enough personal drama to fill a couple of Behind the Music episodes\, this beloved band soared to heights few ever achieve while winning the hearts and minds of numerous critics\, fans and peers in the process. \nAfter releasing 2 Indie albums in the 80s\, The Jayhawks had  become a driving force and inspiration behind the growing Americana movement in the early 1990s. Combining the talents of singer-songwriters Gary Louris and Mark Olson\, The Jayhawks released their major label debut\, the acclaimed Hollywood Town Hall (1992) on the Def American label. This was followed by Tomorrow the Green Grass (1995)\, which produced the alternative radio hit single “Blue.” \nWhen Olson left to pursue a solo career\, Louris singularly took over the songwriting role in The Jayhawks creating the band’s enduring sound on some of their best selling and well-received albums including Sound of Lies (1997)\, Smile (2000) and Rainy Day Music (2003). \nLouris continues to write and tour with the longtime core group of Marc Perlman\, Karen Grotberg\, and Tim O’Reagan. While the touring line-up has changed over the years and Olson briefly reappeared in 2010 to record and tour\, this classic lineup maintains a commitment to excellence and forward motion in their shows and in their recordings. Paging Mr. Proust (2016)\, was produced in Portland with Peter Buck and Tucker Martine and found the band moving in several new exciting directions. The band’s 10th studio album\, Back Roads And Abandoned Motels\, was released in the summer of 2018\, featuring Jayhawks versions of songs Gary Louris had previously written with other artists plus 2 new compositions. In July  2020 The Jayhawks released their latest album\, XOXO\, that features songwriting and lead vocal contributions from all 4 core members. \nThe Jayhawks have made music in 4 different decades and are as vital now as they were in 1985. They definitely have earned their reputation as a true American treasure.
