SUMMARY:Bonsai Workshop at Deacon Giles Distillery
DESCRIPTION:Beginner workshops are perfect for you to grab your friends\, grab a drink and come make tiny trees! We’re bringing the awesome art of bonsai out of the hedged in gardens and into the streets! Or at least into your favorite bars/breweries/pubs. Bonsai Bar is a night of fun you don’t want to miss. Learn the fundamental skills and techniques behind the art of bonsai while enjoying a night out with friends! Our teachers will introduce core concepts and guide your experience as you pot\, prune\, and design your very own bonsai tree! SUMMARY:The 250th Anniversary Battle of Bunker Hill Reenactment
DESCRIPTION:The 250th Anniversary Reenactment of The Battle of Bunker Hills aims to accurately portray the events and faithfully represent the people involved in the conflict of June 17\, 1775. Our mission is to celebrate and commemorate the actions and sacrifices of the men and women of all sides of the Battle of Bunker Hill through careful research\, public demonstrations\, civic engagement and educational outreach. Through these means\, we endeavor to increase understanding of the Battle of Bunker Hill\, and to bring to life the stories and voices of those long gone or purposefully excluded: when you see us\, think of them. \nThe first pitched battle of the American War for Independence was fought in stages. Our reenactment of the battle will do the same. The recreated battle will be broken up into a series of vignettes and lectures\, as well as the tactical demonstrations. Beginning each morning\, Colonial forces will race to build fortifications atop the hill as the Royal Navy bombards the American position to soften its defense in preparation for amphibious assault. British soldiers will then be ferried to the beachhead before charging the American lines – attacking the hill three times before taking it through bitter combat. \nBefore and after the tactical demonstrations\, interpreters portraying specific historical figures will give context to the events of June 1775\, detailing how the battle transformed their lives and our nation. Between each action\, visitors will have the opportunity to meet reenactors and learn about the perspectives of the people they portray.

DESCRIPTION:6/20/25\nReserved Seating $35\nGA Standing $25\n7;30pm Doors / 8:30pm Show\n21+ \nEpic in sound and kaleidoscopic in vision\, the eclectic Martha’s Vineyard-based six piece Entrain has been thrilling critics and fans alike since its inception. Formed and led by drummer Tom Major in 1993 while on hiatus from touring with rock legend Bo Diddley\, Entrain has been blessed with a list of top tier musicians over the years. Tom takes the stage with lead singer/guitar wiz Brian Alex. Often joining them is bassist M’Talewa\, saxophonist/percussionist Hilary Noble\, saxophonist/accordion Klem Klemik\, trombone/keys Lennie Peterson\, and percussionist Eggiest Castrillo. Their collective resume includes stints with such diverse players as Bo Diddley\, Carly Simon\, Chuck Berry\, Southside Johnny\, James Mongomery\, Gary Burton\, and Blood\, Sweat\, and Tears. \nEntrain has recorded eight albums\, available on Dolphin Safe Records\, all of which have been praised for their ability to shift effortlessly between musical styles – from rock\, blues\, calypso and ska\, to zydeco\, jazz and funk – often within the same song. \n“The whole Entrain concept is based on the drums and infectious rhythms. Once we’ve got that…. anything goes\, everything goes\,” explains Major. “The most important thing that we try to do with our music is bring everybody together in the spirit of peace\, love\, fun and a ton of drums!”

SUMMARY:Viva La Vamp
DESCRIPTION:6/26/25\nReserved Seating $35\nGA Standing $20.00\n7:00pm Doors\, 8:00pm Show\n18+\, Positive I.D. Required \nAfter a five-year hiatus\, Closet Case returns to Gloucester with a new cast of characters as well as some familiar faces. Kicking off St. Peter’s Fiesta Week\, Closet Case is ready to re-VAMP the party. \nThis next chapter fuses classic drag\, burlesque\, and boundary-pushing performance art\, celebrating local talent unafraid to bare their souls—and more-enticing the crowd with something tantalizing and tangible. We’re turning up the heat and offering a reminder: sometimes the most radical act is to revel in pleasure\, self-expression\, and a little sexual summer healing. Don’t we all deserve it? \nWe waited long enough for it….LET’S VAMP IT UP.
