SUMMARY:Pete Lee
DESCRIPTION:Pete Lee was the first standup comedian to get a standing ovation on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This happened after Jimmy personally attended one of Pete’s live shows in NYC and immediately invited him on the show. Pete’s joyful humor comes from his Midwestern roots. Raised in Janesville\, WI by divorced parents and a 19-inch television\, he was destined to pursue a career in entertainment. In 2005\, Pete flew to New York to make his television debut on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend\, and the taping went so well that he decided to move to NYC. Soon after moving to NYC\, he was selected to perform at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal\, where he was voted a standout performer. In 2008 Pete made his network television debut performing on NBC’s Last Comic Standing finishing as a semi- finalist. That same year\, he made his television acting debut on the CBS Soap Opera As The World Turns. At the end of 2008\, he shot his own Comedy Central Half Hour Special\, which earned him a cult following at comedy clubs\, and the opportunity to perform over the next ten years at 500 colleges across the country. \nIn 2010 Pete began producing and editing his own shows for the Internet which led to getting his own web show on MSN.com called New York Minute:30. His web shows attracted the attention of television talent scouts and in 2012 he was hired to be a writer and cast member on FUSE TV’s Video on Trial and the NFL Network’s Top 10’s. In 2013\, Pete was hired as a cast member on VH1’s Best Week Ever\, where he was a writer and cast member for three seasons. That same year\, he made his late night television debut on CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman. \nCurrently\, Pete is a cast member of TruTV’s Greatest Ever and he hosts his own segment on Nickelodeon’s Nick Toons\, in co-ordination with the NFL\, called NFL Rush. He’s also a regular on TruTV’s Comedy Knockout and Comedy Central’s Roast Battle. And he starred in a documentary titled I Need You to Kill that is now available on iTunes and Amazon. If you haven’t heard of Pete Lee yet\, prepare to tell other people.

DESCRIPTION:Babson Boulder Parking\nCherry Street\, Gloucester\, MA 01930\n$10 for CAM Members\, $20 for non-members\nRegistration Required \nOn Cape Ann\, the name “Dogtown” conjures up many things — vast woodlands and trails; stone walls and cellar holes; tales of witches and widows; an ill-fated bullfighter; pastures\, picnics and blueberries; a sea of rocks. Dogtown is all of these things and more. But first\, it is a place where proud people once lived and worked\, at the center of Gloucester\, for nearly 150 years – until it became “Dogtown” and died out. \nThis tour will take you down the main roads of this early settlement\, to meet some of the people\, see where they lived and hear their stories. You will learn how Dogtown got its name\, why people left\, and how it has changed in the 200 years since the last house came down. You will hear about writers and artists who were inspired here\, and reservoirs that were built here. Finally\, you will see some of the inspirational word-boulders along the trails that are the lasting legacy of entrepreneur and philanthropist Roger Babson (1875-1967)\, and a symbol of the enduring nature of this special place called Dogtown. \nThis walking tour is three miles and will take approximately two hours. The route is over hiking trails that are generally easy\, but uneven\, with rocks and roots underfoot. Hiking attire and footwear advised; also\, walking poles if you use them. Bring water and insect repellent. The tour will start at the main entrance to Dogtown\, off Cherry Street. Meet at the parking lot a short distance up Dogtown Road\, on the right. There is parking for a few cars in the lot; otherwise\, park along the right side of the road\, after the parking lot\, or along Cherry St. Please arrive 10 minutes early. This includes: \n-Little Sprout Kids Korner (Kids activities and craft station)\n-Storytime at 11 am and 2 pm\n-Little Sprouts in the Garden Education Cart\n-Self-Guided Historic House Tours (Available 10:30 am-4:30 pm)\n-Sensory-Friendly Nature Scavenger Hunt\n-Daily Garden Tours at Noon (approx. 30 minutes)\n-Food and Coffee Vendors\n-Yard Games in our Event Lawn\n-Bulb Information Station \nMother nature can be tricky\, so we appreciate your understanding that the bulbs bloom on their own timeline! The property entrance for Stevens-Coolidge House & Garden is located at 153 Chickering Road\, North Andover MA. \nIs the site wheelchair or stroller accessible? Stevens-Coolidge has accessible crushed stone pathways that are present throughout the property. Off the paths\, the grounds are uneven grass. \nAre dogs allowed? No\, in order to protect our gardens dogs are not allowed on our public garden properties at any time. \nIs the interior of the property open to the public during this event? Yes\, our historic house will be open for a self-guided tour experience. Our Knowledgeable Guides will be available to answer any questions you may have while in the house.

Highlights of the tour include a room filled with stunning 19th century Chinese wallpaper\, the evolution of the stunning Sedgwick gardens\, and the hidden connection between the house and an old Southern antebellum mansion. \nPlease dress appropriately for the weather. Sturdy\, comfortable shoes are recommended. Meeting point for the tour is in front of the Main House by the copper beech tree. \nSpace is limited. \nLong Hill House & Garden Tours run most Saturdays and Sundays April through the end of September. DESCRIPTION:Take a virtual tour of Sandy Point State Reservation between the tides and into the tidal pools among the rocks to learn about the diverse species that reside in intertidal and subtidal zones. Join Lisa Hutchings of MassAudubon Joppa Flats who will share vibrant images and captivating\, informative video clips to help you learn about the local marine biodiversity\, native and non-native species\, and seasonal changes along the shore. After the ~30 minute presentation\, get hands-on with our tide pool touch tubs where you will get to observe\, handle and ask questions about a variety of LIVE tidepool creatures\, such as mollusks\, crustaceans\, echinoderms and more! \nAbout our speaker: Lisa Hutchings is the Lead Education Coordinator for MassAudubon at Joppa Flats. In this role\, she has been supervising and training field teachers\, interns\, and volunteers as young as 14 for the last 20 years with Mass Audubon’s North Shore. She teaches PreK through 12\, leads families on field trips\, hosts public events\, instructs adults in the field\, and presents at workshops\, conferences and symposiums. Lisa is passionate about marine biology\, enjoys birding\, biking and kayaking and loves taking people to share her newest obsession – mushroom hunting! Lisa lives with her husband\, Mark in Amesbury and has two sons\, Nate and Danny.
