After the ~30 minute presentation\, get hands-on with our tide pool touch tubs where you will get to observe\, handle and ask questions about a variety of LIVE tidepool creatures\, such as mollusks\, crustaceans\, echinoderms and more! \nAbout our speaker: Lisa Hutchings is the Lead Education Coordinator for MassAudubon at Joppa Flats. In this role\, she has been supervising and training field teachers\, interns\, and volunteers as young as 14 for the last 20 years with Mass Audubon’s North Shore. She teaches PreK through 12\, leads families on field trips\, hosts public events\, instructs adults in the field\, and presents at workshops\, conferences and symposiums. Known mainly as a portraitist\, Browne was commissioned to paint the portraits of such turn-of-the-century luminaries as Henry Ford\, John Hayes Hammond Sr.\, Howard Blackburn and King Alfonso of Spain. Here we find Margaret Fitzhugh Browne turning her attention to a more conventional subject\, her sister Bonnie. \nJoin us Thursdays for a unique experience. Led by a CAM docent\, these deep dives into a single artwork or object from the Collection will begin with conversation\, a short presentation and complimentary coffee at the Carlson Center\, followed by a special trip to the James Center to view the object being discussed. DESCRIPTION:Newburyport Art (NAA) presents three new exhibits on view at Newburyport Art. On view in the Sargent and Hartson Galleries is Paper Stories\, featuring works by 84 artists. In the Hills Gallery is Light\, Color… Action!\, a featured artist exhibition by Adrienne Circelli-Silversmith. Lastly\, in the Mural Gallery is Artist Spotlight Bill Balsam. \nPaper Stories features 107 works on paper and works created out of paper. This show includes paper sculpture\, watercolor\, mixed media collage\, pastel\, printmaking and photography. Participating artists hail from across the east coast\, and include work by NAA members and non-members. Visitors can expect to find themselves immersed in a wide range of subject matter\, artistic techniques\, and color palettes. \nIn the Hills Gallery\, Light\, Color….Action by Adrienne Circelli-Silversmith explores the nuances of light\, shadow\, and color. Adrienne writes\, “in these still lifes I create dynamic compositions utilizing light and shadows on objects especially on vibrant color flowers. It is a cacophony of color that I hope brings joy to all that view it.” Adrienne’s exhibit features over 30 works from her exploration into this concept. \nArtist Spotlight Bill Balsam is on view in the Mural Gallery\, highlighting his photographs. Bill’s pieces include nature photography\, landscape\, coastal\, and industrial. His show is on view from May 9th to May 22nd. \nA joint reception will be held for Paper Stories and Light\, Color\, Action! On Saturday\, May 10th from 4:00-6:00 PM. \nThe galleries are free and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am–5:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm–5:00pm. Newburyport Art is closed on Mondays. The ground-floor Hills Gallery has an accessible entrance. Tim played John Glascot on the ABC sitcom The Goldbergs throughout its ten seasons and starred as the same character in Schooled for its two-season run. \nMeadows also played the school principal in the hit comedy Mean Girls and co-starred with Adam Sandler and Chris Rock in the blockbuster comedies Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2. Additionally\, Tim co-starred with Andy Samberg in Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping for Universal Pictures and co-starred with John C Reilly in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story for Sony Pictures. \nHe was seen multiple times in Brooklyn Nine-Nine\, The Office\, Miracle Workers\, and the lead in CBS/Paramount’s No Activity. Tim has also voiced one of the main characters on Bob’s Burgers for Fox and starred in hybrid live-action/animated comedy\, Son of Zorn\, from Chris Miller and Phil Lord alongside fellow SNL alum Jason Sudeikis.
