DESCRIPTION:Mighty Mystic is considered as one of the leaders in the international reggae scene and is a box office draw at venues and a staple at festivals. The Jamaican born U.S. based artist has 5 highly acclaimed albums 4 of which charted top 10 on Billboard and iTunes. He is labeled as a touring machine with roughly 40 tours equaling thousands of concerts and a career spanning two decades. His high flying\, stage diving\, brand of reggae music is electrifying and has been captivating audiences everywhere. He has gone from being a fan of reggae music to being a major contributor to the art. Mighty Mystic came on the scene in 2006 after scoring back-to-back international hits with “Riding on the Clouds” and “Revolution”. However\, it wasn’t until the release of his first album “Wake up the World” (2010) that he became a household name. “Wake up the World” was a chart-topping album with guest appearance by reggae icon Shaggy. Mystic continues to wake up the world with energy and passion and a brand of his own which he emphatically calls “Hard Roots”. \nFUN FACT: Mighty Mystic is also the younger brother of current Jamaican Prime Minister the Honorable Andrew Holness. When asked\, does being the brother of Prime Minister Holness have any impact on your music? Mystic simply says “Andrew has a job to do and so do I\, impact or not we both have our own mission to complete”. \nTHE EARLY YEARS\nMighty Mystic was born Kevin Mark Holness in the farming community of Goshen\, St. Elizabeth\, Jamaica to parents Morris & Sonia Holness. As a child\, Kevin showed early interest in his native island’s music. It was common to hear him singing the latest tunes while imitating the actions of popular reggae artists. When Kevin was 9\, the family left Goshen and relocated to Boston. Though oceans apart Kevin never lost the passion for his beloved reggae music. Kevin alongside his brother Stephen began performing at school talent shows\, outdoor gatherings and anywhere a mic was on display and quickly made a name for themselves as the “reggae rappers”. Soon after the brothers formed their first band the “Thunder Band”. Kevin became “Mystic” as it was his dads nickname and also the name of the area in Boston where he lived. With Mystic on vocals and Stephen on the lightening sharp guitar the brothers would score a National hit (Riding on the Clouds) and a Global hit (Revolution) on their two first releases. This early success and family bond would be the foundation of which carefully crafted reggae music would flow. \nMYSTIC OF TODAY\nThough his brother Stephen has since retired\, Mighty Mystic has continued to carry the reggae torch. And is now a Globally respected and sought-after artist on the reggae scene. His brand of “HARD ROOTS” with his high energy stage performance has been a magnet for the enthusiastic reggae fan base. He has managed to hold firm to his Jamaican roots while adding elements of Hip Hop and Rock giving Mystic his own identifiable sound. She enjoys using her creative flair in quilting and interior design as well. \nSue graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor’s in business with a focus on hospitality management and earned an associate’s degree from the Culinary Institute of America. Following her tenure as a pastry chef in New Hampshire\, Sue returned to school for a certificate in graphic design and put her talents to use as a designer in the book publishing and art publishing industries in Vermont. In early 2019\, Sue opened her own gallery and studio\, Arts Abound in Magnolia Village\, MA\, as an artistic haven for local artists. Through the gallery\, over 30 artists featured their creative works\, ranging from paintings\, hand-painted silk scarves\, silver jewelry\, and more. Sue also ran many workshops and classes featuring many of the artists. Often\, Sue would work late into the night\, painting in her Arts Abound studio. After closing the gallery in 2022\, Sue continued to offer the often sold-out painting classes\, taught by some of the Arts Abound artists. \nSue has studied under numerous artists to learn watercolor\, acrylic painting\, cold wax & oil\, and collage. Her goals for the Hammond Castle Museum sketch classes are to engage those who are new to the world of art and reinvigorate those who haven’t picked up a blank canvas or sketch pad in a long time. Sue’s philosophy on the creative process encourages you to be less concerned about the final product and instead to enjoy the journey of creativity and get lost in the moment. Once you find yourself in your work\, you may just be surprised!

DESCRIPTION:GRAMMY-nominated Yonder Mountain String Band set the tone for a new way forward in acoustic music\, carrying bluegrass into rooms and conversations it had never reached before. Nearly three decades later\, that same spirit still guides them\, alive and present on Good As True (2026)\, the band’s 12th studio album\, released March 2026. The record captures Yonder in full stride. It’s unguarded and in motion\, preserving the spark of musicians playing in real time and leaning into everything they have learned along the way. \nGood As True (2026) digs into communication\, the conversations that carry us forward and the ones that fall apart. The things we say\, the things we mean\, and what gets lost in between. \n“Brand New Heartache\,” the album’s lead single\, lives in that fragile moment after a breakup when heartbreak and forward motion exist at the same time. Built on rock-leaning verses and a bluegrass-lifted chorus\, it turns loss into motion and sets the tone for the record. From the indelible guitar riff and self-reckoning at the heart of “Blind” to the sharp\, sarcastic truth of “Long Ride\,” the album stays rooted in real life\, tracing personal and political fractures on “Nothing New” and “The Lie.” “One to One Another” and “Always Almost” linger in the struggle to connect. \n“Barroom Feather” stands on its own. Recorded live in the studio\, the song began with lyrics and drifted into a spontaneous jam that became one of the record’s most expansive moments\, stretching past sixteen minutes. Anchored by a subtle drum track\, it broadens the band’s rhythmic range without losing Yonder’s acoustic core. \nAcross eight original tracks co-written by Adam Aijala (guitar\, vocals)\, Dave Johnston (banjo\, vocals)\, Ben Kaufmann (bass vocals)\, and Nick Piccininni (mandolin\, vocals)\, Good As True (2026) reflects a group writing from inside their own history\, relationships\, and the world around them. Brought to life by the full five-piece lineup\, including fiddle player Coleman Smith\, the album carries the interplay and identity of the band as it exists today. The teams competing are based on actual nineteenth-century baseball clubs from New England. \nThe Essex Base Ball Organization is a nonprofit “vintage base ball” group that plays the game as it was played in the 1860s. They are based out of Newbury\, Massachusetts\, and have four teams. They teach the history of baseball through games and demonstrations\, offering youth clinics and lectures on baseball history at historical societies\, libraries\, and other civic organizations. \nSee HNE website for first pitch times; triple headers start at 11 AM\, doubles at noon.

She enjoys using her creative flair in quilting and interior design as well. \nSue graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor’s in business with a focus on hospitality management and earned an associate’s degree from the Culinary Institute of America. Following her tenure as a pastry chef in New Hampshire\, Sue returned to school for a certificate in graphic design and put her talents to use as a designer in the book publishing and art publishing industries in Vermont. In early 2019\, Sue opened her own gallery and studio\, Arts Abound in Magnolia Village\, MA\, as an artistic haven for local artists. Through the gallery\, over 30 artists featured their creative works\, ranging from paintings\, hand-painted silk scarves\, silver jewelry\, and more. Sue also ran many workshops and classes featuring many of the artists. Often\, Sue would work late into the night\, painting in her Arts Abound studio. After closing the gallery in 2022\, Sue continued to offer the often sold-out painting classes\, taught by some of the Arts Abound artists. \nSue has studied under numerous artists to learn watercolor\, acrylic painting\, cold wax & oil\, and collage. Her goals for the Hammond Castle Museum sketch classes are to engage those who are new to the world of art and reinvigorate those who haven’t picked up a blank canvas or sketch pad in a long time. Sue’s philosophy on the creative process encourages you to be less concerned about the final product and instead to enjoy the journey of creativity and get lost in the moment. Once you find yourself in your work\, you may just be surprised!

DESCRIPTION:Maeve Gilchrist | Copley Street | The Fretless (with special guest Madeleine Rogers) | Edwin Huizinga and William Coulter (Fire and Grace) \nA string focused extravaganza of a night where we hear music from the world-class\, pure-drop traditional sounds of Boston-based band\, Copley Street (Joey Abarta\, Nathan Gourley and Owen Marshall) next to Baroque fiddler extraordinaire\, Edwin Huizinga and guitarist William Coulter play their jaw-dropping distillations of Vivaldi’s four seasons. \nThis evening will bring us the joy of Spring and the visceral excitement of Summer as we hear these two instruments cover an entire orchestra’s worth of texture\, melody and soul. In the second half of the concert we bring back Canada’s award-winning quartet\, The Fretless\, this time joining forces with the stunning vocals of Madeleine Rogers. This pan-Canadian group is reinventing the meaning of string quartet and bringing the sounds of their respective string cultures into indie territory\, garnering new audiences\, new sounds and creating a whole new horizon. Pulling it all together\, Rockport’s Artistic Director Maeve Gilchrist will bring her harp\, poetry and context to each act to turn this whole evening into an unforgettable story of songs\, tunes and concerti!
