All works were inspired by short stories by celebrated American author James Baldwin. In July 2006\, Sunnyside Records released the quintet’s second critically lauded CD Subway Songs\, which features eight all-original commissioned compositions inspired by the sociological dynamism of the New York City Subway experience. \nIn early 2012\, the quintet\, in partnership with the digital music distributor\, The Orchard\, released the globally-themed\, Big Drum/Small World to unanimously positive reviews! Shunned by the other pumpkins\, Spookley is befriended by Edgar\, Allan and Poe\, three hilarious spiders who convince him that\, square or not\, he has a right to be the Pick of the Patch. Encouraged by kindly Jack Scarecrow\, Spookley tries his best\, but he isn’t sure he has what it takes until a mighty storm threatens Holiday Hill Farm. Spookley realizes it is up to him and his square shape to save the day. While philosophy and stern contemplation of the complex nature of humanity certainly have a place\, “Not So Faust!” seeks to show that loosening our belts and laughing at ourselves is just what the Doctor ordered.

Encouraged by kindly Jack Scarecrow\, Spookley tries his best\, but he isn’t sure he has what it takes until a mighty storm threatens Holiday Hill Farm.
