DESCRIPTION:As they celebrate their 50th anniversary\, the band reaches a rare milestone that only a few bands ever achieve. \nJefferson Starship is one of the most successful arena rock bands of the ’70s and ’80s\, earning 3 platinum and 8 gold records\, as well as numerous Top 40 Billboard singles. \nFounded by Paul Kantner in the ’70s\, Jefferson Starship was conceived as a collective of musical adventurers contributing to his epic concept albums and eventual catalog of rock classics. When the current lineup came together in 2012\, with many members hav ing joined years earlier\, Kantner couldn’t have predicted the band would become the road – conquering force they are today.

It is a show that continues to transport audiences back in time and is as nostalgic as it is exciting. \nTouring continuously since 1956\, The Glenn Miller Orchestra is featured in over 200 concerts and dances per year. DESCRIPTION:Cantemus Chamber Chorus\, with 40 members from across the North Shore\, will present two May concerts in Beverly and Newburyport titled “I Hear America Singing.” Featuring African-American Spirituals and music by Charles Ives\, Aaron Copland\, Rosephanye Powell\, Charlene Archibeque\, Cecil Effinger\, Bob Dylan\, and more\, texts are by American poets Walt Whitman\, Emily Dickinson\, Langston Hughes\, and others. \nThe concerts will explore what it means to be American – the American Landscape\, the American Dream\, Songs of Protest\, Songs of the American Diaspora\, Songs on American Poetry\, and finally asks: The American Dream Restored? \nJoining the Chorus will be guitarist Chris Rubén-Winters and oboist Benjamin Fox. Rubén-Winters draws from deep roots in jazz\, salsa\, and classical music and his playing has enriched performances of multiple Massachusetts choral groups. Fox’s versatility and virtuosity have been showcased in a variety of venues\, from Carnegie Hall to Honolulu nightclubs. DESCRIPTION:Even though Roomful of Blues’ lineup has changed over the years\, the band has always been one of the tightest\, most joyful blues ensembles in the world. Singer Phil Pemberton brings his sweet and soulful vocals and adds another bright new dimension to the jazzy\, jump-blues musical roots. The band is also known for recreating entire albums as a part of their show\, accepting requests from fans\, and for taking an A-Z approach in which one song is played for every letter of the alphabet. \nThe Machine has sold out theaters\, premier showcase rooms and casinos across North America\, Europe and Asia\, performed at renowned music festivals such as Bonnaroo\, Riverbend\, and Gathering of the Vibes\, and shared the stage with full symphony orchestras\, including the Atlanta\, Detroit\, Pittsburgh\, Jacksonville\, Charlotte and San Diego Symphonies\, as well as the Buffalo Philharmonic. \nThe band features founding member Tahrah Cohen (drums)\, longtime bandmates Scott Chasolen (keys\, vocals) and Ryan Ball (guitar\, vocals)\, and newest member Chris DeAngelis (bass\, lead vocals).
