Currently an eightpiece unit led by guitarist Chris Vachon\, the band has never sounded fresher or stronger. Singer DD Bastos brings her sweet and soulful vocals and adds another bright new dimension to the jazzy\, jump-blues musical roots. Along with bassist John Turner\, trumpeter Chris Pratt\, drummer Mike Coffey\, keyboardist Jeff Ceasrine\, baritone and tenor saxophonist Craig Thomas\, and tenor and alto saxophonist Rich Lataille\, Roomful keeps on rockin’ year after year! \nRoomful of Blues\, according to DownBeat magazine\, “are in a class by themselves.” With their masterful combination of jumping\, horn-heavy\, hard-edged blues and R&B\, it’s no wonder why the great Count Basie called them “the hottest blues band I’ve ever heard.” Since 1967\, the group’s deeply rooted blend of swing\, rock ‘n’ roll\, jump\, blues and soul has earned it five Grammy Award nominations and a slew of other accolades\, including seven Blues Music Awards. With a non-stop performance schedule for over 55 years\, Roomful of Blues has earned critical\, popular and radio success and a legion of fans around the globe. including the prestigious DownBeat International Critics Poll for “Best Blues Band”. \nD.D. Bastos – Vocals DD is no stranger to the stage. She began singing in church at the age of 5 years old. Music has always been her passion. D.D. earned second chair in the All-Eastern Honors Ensemble representing Massachusetts which garnered her a scholarship. After college D.D. began performing with local bands throughout NE which led to the inception of her band DD & The Road Kings. Her work put her closely associated with the fraternity that is; Roomful of Blues\, Sugar Ray and the Bluetones\, The Broadcasters and the dozens of splinter groups who have branched off — shaping many other New England Blues bands. Certainly\, when three of them show up on D.D. and the Road Kings’ album Lover Bird\, which was well received by critics and fans alike\, there is a common thread that can be traced back to the ’60s Blues revival. D.D. is also a Choral Director in the public school system with 20+ years as a private music teacher. Her love of singing is what fuels her soulful and powerful performances. \nChris Vachon – Guitar Chris is a true multi-talent. His prowess as a guitar slinger is well documented\, and his strengths as a producer and songwriter grow from album to album. He produced the band’s nine most recent albums—There Goes the Neighborhood (1998)\, Watch You When You Go (2001)\, Live at Wolf Trap (2002) the Grammy nominated That’s Right! (2003)\, and Standing Room Only (2004)\, “Raisin’ A Ruckus” (2008)\, Hook\, Line & Sinker (2011)\, 45 Live (2013) and In A Roomful of Blues (2020) after co-producing all of Roomful’s other albums recorded in the ’90s. Chris’s songs— such as “Turn It On! Turn It Up!\,” “Running Out of Time\,” “She’ll Be So Fine\,” “Blue\, Blue World\,” “Dynamite” and “Keep on Rockin'” have become firm favorites in AAA and bluesradio formats\, bringing many new fans into the Roomful fold. \nJohn Turner – Upright and Electric Bass A veteran of the New England jazz scene\, bassist John Turner has performed and recorded with just about everybody–specifically the Either/Orchestra\,Charlie Kohlhase\, Scott Hamilton\, Roswell Rudd\, Lee Konitz\, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra\, members of Ornette Coleman’s band\, and Magic Dick-Jay Geils and Blues Time to name a few. John’s rock solid bottom is the essential element of the swing groove which Roomful is renowned for. \nJeff Ceasrine – PianoOrgan Originally from New York\, Jeff is a multi-instrumentalist who has performed throughout the New England area on keyboards\, rhythm guitar\, percussion\, and background vocals for over 25 years. He has worked in several long-standing acts in Rhode Island (blues\, jazz\, and swing) and has played many one-off gigs with various bands throughout the region. A frequent guest and on-call keyboard player with Roomful of Blues since 2008 (appearing on their recent “In a Roomful of Blues” CD)\, Jeff is comfortable with many different blues stylings. His influences include Pine Top Perkins\, Duke Ellington\, Fats Waller\, Lonnie Smith\, Otis Spann and Jimmy Smith..” \nMike Coffey – Drums From Newport Rhode Island Mike Coffey spent 20 years performing with the US Navy band. Upon retirement he performed with local blues artist Chris Stoval Brown and other wellknown blues artist in the Boston area. As part of a weekly Jazz series he has performed with Mike Renzi and Grey Sargent both members of Tony Bennett’s band and other renown jazz artist. He also performs with 50s doo wop group”The Diamonds” when they perform in New England. He studied with renown drum instructors Alan Dawson and Gary Chaffee. It was Rich’s interest in the swinging bands of the ’30s and ’40s that led Roomful to forge the distinctive sound that has become the band’s trademark. A man who can play both sides of the fence\, lyrically tender or blisteringly hot\, Rich has a big\, warm tone that is always jam-packed with feeling. His melodic inventiveness reflects the depth and breadth of his wide-ranging influences. Rich worked with various local and high- school bands before beginning his long-term relationship with Roomful. \nCraig Thomas – Baritone and Tenor Sax Craig was born in Washington DC and grew up in Maryland. At a young age Craig heard an early rock and roll instrumental “Wild Weekend” by the Rockin’ Rebels which inspired him to take up the saxophone. He moved to LA in his early 20s and played with the likes of Jim Messina of Loggins & Messina\, Les McCann\, Aretha Franklin\, the Stylistics\, Freda Payne\, Jermaine Jackson the R&B Bombers among many\, many others. Craig’s rich musical background is a welcome asset to the Roomful of Blues horn section. \nChristopher Pratt – Trumpet Chris is a native of Rhode Island and has performed throughout the New England area with various local and national acts for over forty years. SUMMARY:The Clements Brothers Present A Paul Simon Tribute
DESCRIPTION:Experience the timeless music of Paul Simon with The Clements Brothers in a captivating quartet tribute filled with soaring harmonies and exceptional musicianship. George Clements brings the music vividly to life\, drawing on his experience portraying Paul Simon in the national tour of The Simon & Garfunkel Story. \nThe Clements Brothers are George and Charles Clements\, identical twins from New England. They’ve been playing and writing music together for as long as they can remember and ‘The Clements Brothers’ marks their first project together since playing in the internationally touring grass-roots band\, ‘The Lonely Heartstring Band’ with whom they put out two albums on Rounder Records. With roots\, rock\, bluegrass\, jazz\, and classical influences\, George (on guitar) and Charles (on bass) aim to capture their singer-songwriter sensibilities in a unique blended voice\, at once enthralling and intimate\, groovy and serene. Their first album ‘Dandelion Breeze’ was released in 2023 on Plow Man Records and their sophomore record is set to be released in the Fall of 2026. The duo is a fusion of each brother’s unique musical journey\, and the result is music all its own\, filled with vocal harmonies\, instrumental virtuosity\, and a genuine love of song.

This concert traces this shared story through the eyes of a child.” Allison Iannuzzi said\, “There is something truly special about experiencing the wonder of the winter season through a child’s eyes. The Children’s Chorus is delighted to collaborate with Cantemus to share music celebrating the beauty of winter traditions. We hope this music invites us all to rediscover the magic of the season and the shared experiences that unite us.” \nFor more information about the program and to purchase tickets\, visit www.cantemus.org/tickets. SUMMARY:An Evening with Marc Roberge (of O.A.R.)
DESCRIPTION:As frontman for multi-platinum-selling rock band O.A.R.\, Marc Roberge has performed for sold-out crowds at some of the world’s most iconic venues while helping build a remarkably devoted global fanbase. Three decades into O.A.R.’s career\, the New York City-based singer/songwriter/guitarist has also developed a distinct identity as a solo performer. \nRoberge’s solo shows trade the full-band energy of O.A.R. for an intimate\, stripped-back setting\, featuring reimagined O.A.R. favorites\, select covers and candid conversation with the audience. The format puts a spotlight on the deeply personal storytelling that has been central to his songwriting since O.A.R.’s formation in 1996. \nInspired in part by the tradition of classic country and folk troubadours\, Roberge continues to explore the more lyrical and roots-oriented side of his songwriting through his solo work.

SUMMARY:Take 6
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the season with the extraordinary harmonies of Take 6\, one of the most acclaimed vocal groups in music. With 10 GRAMMY Awards\, 10 Dove Awards\, two NAACP Image Awards\, a Soul Train Award\, and induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame\, the legendary sextet brings its unmistakable sound to a joyful holiday concert. \nWith 10 Grammy Awards\, 10 Dove Awards\, 2 NAACP Image Awards\, a Soul Train Award\, and more\, Take 6 (Claude McKnight\, Mark Kibble\, Joel Kibble\, Dave Thomas\, Alvin Chea and Khristian Dentley) continues to bring extraordinary vocals to their worldwide audiences. April 2018 marks the release of their sixteenth album\, aptly titled ICONIC (SRG/Universal) and the debut of a PBS special\, The Summit\, alongside The Manhattan Transfer. \nThe new recording\, ICONIC\, is composed of the songs the sextet loves to perform both on stage and for the pure joy of lending their voices to songs that have taken on a greater meaning to them and to their audiences over their career of nearly four decades. These eclectic tunes pay tribute to both the music and the artists that made them famous\, from a fun and vocally significant cover of Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop the Feeling\, a unique and harmonic interpretation of Christopher Cross’ Sailing\, Khristian’s melodic and memorable vocal on Norah Jones’ Don’t Know Why to a jazz cover that the Beatles would surely be pleased with of Got To Get You Into My Life. They pay homage to their friend Al Jarreau\, with their rendition of Roof Garden\, and are true to their gospel roots with the hymn Nothing But the Blood. Change The World (Eric Clapton)\, the first single\, was the most-added tune in Smooth Jazz upon its release. Take 6’s last release\, in 2016\, Believe (SRG/Universal) landed on six Billboard charts simultaneously. \nTheir wide array of fans can enjoy their performances on The Summit as part of the Soundstage concert series. The special debuts nationally on the public television network in April 2018. The impressive collaboration with The Manhattan Transfer was recorded at their show in Chicago during their 46-city 2017 tour “THE SUMMIT: The Manhattan Transfer Meets Take 6.” Gleefully for audiences\, the repertoire includes songs neither band has ever recorded. \nTake 6 has admirably and adeptly crossed most musical genres\, from straight-ahead Jazz to Pop to adult R&B\, doo wop to blues. Like a fine-tuned vocal orchestra (Alvin\, bass; Khristian\, baritone; Claude\, Dave\, Mark and Joel\, tenors)\, the group continues to push the boundaries of creativity and musical genius with every new release\, and with their ever-evolving live performances. \nAny singer who aspires for vocal excellence cannot overlook the contributions these men have made to music. Take 6 has performed with and won praise from such luminaries as Stevie Wonder\, Brian Wilson\, Ben E. King\, Ladysmith Black Mambazo\, Al Jarreau\, Ella Fitzgerald\, Ray Charles\, and Whitney Houston\, to name a very few. \nSome of the honors Take 6 has enjoyed over the past few years include being chosen as the first musical group to perform in Cuba at the normalization of relations between our two countries\, and their induction into The Gospel Music Hall of Fame. \nTake 6 has come a long way from their days at Huntsville\, Alabama’s Oakwood College where Claude McKnight formed the group as The Gentleman’s Estates Quartet in 1980. When tenor Mark Kibble heard the group rehearsing in the dorm\, he joined in the harmonies and performed on stage that night. When Mervyn Warren joined shortly afterward\, they took the name Alliance. Yet\, when they signed to Reprise Records/Warner Bros. in 1987\, they found that there was another group with the same name\, so they became Take 6. Says McKnight: “Take 6 was all about a democratic process of sitting in a room together and throwing a couple of hundred names at each other and Take 6 was the one that got the most yay votes [laughing.] It pretty much was a play on the Take 5 jazz standard and the fact that there are six of us in the group\, so it became Take 6.” Their self-titled debut CD won over jazz and pop critics\, scored two 1988 Grammy Awards\, landed in the Top Ten Billboard Contemporary Jazz and Contemporary Christian Charts — and they’ve never slowed down. \nWhat makes the music and the group last this long? The answers are direct and simple: faith\, friendship\, respect\, and love of music. The multi-platinum selling sextet says of their longevity\, “We are family in the sense that we care deeply about each other\, which helps keep us together. We have times when it gets tough\, but we pull together because of the love and respect we have for one another. The group’s willingness to let members do other projects also adds to the brand and the cohesiveness of the group\,” says Joey Kibble. Kibble is a motivational speaker and Alvin Chea does voiceover work session-singing on dozens of TV shows\, feature films and commercials with his uniquely recognizable bass vocals. Two of the members have solo projects in the works\, others produce outside acts\, Mark Kibble arranges for A list artists and McKnight is working on a documentary. “It adds even more credibility and depth to the group as a whole\, enriched by each of our outside skills and experiences\,” Kibble adds.

SUMMARY:Will Evans with Steve Rondo
DESCRIPTION:Will Evans creates music as an open invitation—to drop your guard\, tune in\, and move through the world a little more freely. Rooted in folk tradition yet unconfined by genre\, his songs blend thoughtful\, quotable lyrics with sunlit grooves and global textures\, encouraging listeners to reconnect with their most honest selves. Based in Rhode Island\, the singer\, songwriter\, and multi-instrumentalist has built a devoted following by pairing sound with intention\, most notably through his Kind Folk community\, which turns shows into shared experiences of kindness\, charity\, and collective uplift. \nKnown for his dynamic live performances\, Evans weaves together acoustic guitar\, handpan\, didgeridoo\, beatboxing\, and percussion to create a fluid\, organic sound that feels both grounded and expansive. His 2025 release The Wild Unknown pushes that vision further\, exploring the crossroads of contemporary folk\, electronica\, and rock\, with collaborations from artists like Tristan Prettyman\, Dirtwire\, and Moontricks. \nFrom sold-out rooms across the U.S. and Europe to stages shared with Crosby & Nash\, Grace Potter\, Bruce Hornsby\,Dirtwire\, Trevor Hall\, and Railroad Earth\, Will Evans continues to build a musical space where connection comes first—and everyone belongs. \nSteve Rondo has built a following across the Northeast\, touring beach towns\, dive bars\, and regional festivals. Songs like Flowers of La Jolla and Afternoon Rebellion showcase his blend of heartfelt storytelling and guitar-driven arrangements — music made for long drives and reflection. \nA surfer at heart\, Rondo brings coastal atmosphere into his songwriting. His songs mirror the ocean’s push and pull — building into anthemic choruses before settling into calm. Themes of freedom\, uncertainty\, and searching for direction run throughout his work\, capturing the feeling of chasing waves and dreams. \nLive\, Rondo and his band balance raw emotion with communal energy. Highlights include opening for Dermot Kennedy in Portland\, Maine in 2022\, plus performances at Levitate Music Festival and 92.5 The River’s Riverfest\, cementing their reputation as a rising live act in the region.
