Lynn Woods Stone Tower
Stone Tower is set on the top of Burrill Hill in Lynn Woods, the highest point in Lynn. It was constructed in 1936 for fire observation and originally was built with a wooden roof structure to provide shelter for crews. The Tower is constructed of stone and mortar, circular in plan and approximately thirty feet in diameter. A cast iron spiral stair links the second, third and fourth floors from within. Stone Tower offers impressive views of Lynn’s waterfront as well as Boston’s skyline.
Stone Tower is open to the public by appointment. Please e-mail LynnWoodsRanger@aol.com or call 781-477-7123.
